Kizuna maybe you are right... haven't think about it before but it's a good theory.. You know he says he likes characters that mean a challenge for him and so... not every time but in some cases plot may mean something secondary to him

Hmmm, you may have a point, Kizuna. Maybe Cillian just strictly looks at a particular role rather than the movie as a whole... but I'm sure Cillian would want to be part of a good project? I do (did) like Justin Timberlake as a singer (I was such a big fan of 'Nsync back in the days LOL). I don't take him seriously as an actor though. *shrugs* I like Amanda a lot. I thought she was hilarious in Mean Girls, and I liked her in Jennifer's Body. I think she could be quite a versatile actress.

I personally get the idea Cillian also takes the storyline into account and how much promise he thinks it shows I can't think of a single movie I've seen that he's done that ever actually had a unpromising storyline - even when it came to the films that could have done a whole lot better than they did, if perhaps the movie creators had made some different choices. I happen to think he's good at spotting the potential there and that's likely a big part of what attracts him to working on certain types of films, even though maybe some of the movie creator's he's worked with in the past haven't always used that potential to the full. In the instance of this film, I think (at least going by what's been described about it so far) this is one that shares that aspect with the others . Even though it might not be the most original (I didn't think of the similiarity to Logans Run - thanks for pointing that out Punctuator!) I think alot could be done with the idea - so long as the movie creators make the right kinds of choices as to what to do with it. Hopefully they will! Also, I think another point worth adding here (though admittedly this is something I don't know super much about and!) is that I get the idea (from a few things I've learned very recently on the process of actors getting work) it's not an uncommon thing to be given limited information about a movie project before they start work on it. Some directors choose not to share everything with them at the start. On that basis, I would guess sometimes actors - even more well known one's - have little choice other than to make a snap decision on whether to say yes or no to a part despite that. And considering how hard it can sometimes be for actors to get halfway decent character parts - especially with all the competition out there - it wouldn't suprise me if Cillian had ever chosen to do a film under those kind of circumstances - initially having reasons to believe it was worth the risk - only to later privately think "if only I'd known some of what I found out later in advance, maybe I'd have had second thoughts on doing that..." Just a few thoughts guys! Of course I don't know for sure Cillian doesn't put character ahead of plot when he chooses parts. It's certainly possible. But yet again, just thinking it's also just as possible some of the choices he's made with films before have been down to circumstantial reasons - as much as anything else.

Well I am surely curious about this project, despite, indeed, the others of the cast. I mean Amanda Seyfried.. Not my favorite.. But she can have good roles. Justin Timberlake is a singer, not an actor and I think he will drag the movie down, though (!) if Cillian plays his part well he could eventually save it and make it an original movie, for we all know he has the power to do so (referring to The edge of love, or red eye). I did not particularly like the script-idea but lets trust Cillian, he never made a bad choicE^^

I agree with you Pig, I have faith in Cillian to chose wisely. and i'm just looking forward to seeing him in anything TBH Shame about Timberlake though.. Thinking about it, I wonder if Cillian would be up for a monologue sometime, something like Alan Bennett's Talking Heads. It would certainly be a challenge. I hope so one day

It just struck me... The Empire article says that they'd like to start shooting later this month...? Wasn't he supposed to start shooting The Retreat in September?

And didn't he say in one of the Flaunt videos that they were gonna shoot At Swim Two Birds in the fall? Cillian can do a lot of things but three movies all being filmed at the same time? Ummmm.... I'm personally hoping he starts filming At Swim Two Birds first cuz I think I want to see that the most.

Yeah i mentioned that on the last page- about how i thought he was meant to be filming ASTB in the autumn too. Personally i'd rather The Retreat and ASTB than I'm.Mortal. I've never really been a huge sci-fi lover.

I'm also confused by these 3movies starting at the same time. Maybe his part in I'm.Mortal isn't that huge where he'll just need to be on set for a short amount of time. Is it even for sure that he took that role? Because I think on IMDB it says it's rumored or in negotiations.

You're right Disarm79. It does say on the IMDB Cillian's playing that part in this film is rumored. Just checked it out. I think it must have been updated since the last time I looked - as quite sure that wasn't there to start with. Hmm....maybe he initially accepted the part and is now having second thoughts. Or maybe, as with some of you guys here, he's got concerns on how likely it is the film will be successful so is taking a while on making a decision as to whether or not to accept it. Especially considering that not all of his films in recent years have done too well. Though then again maybe he was never even offered the part at all. Guess there's no way of knowing for sure...

Maybe it's rumored because he wants to do it but he already signed up to film the other two movies? Idk just thinking out loud.

This is probably old news but this film is now untitled. Also, I looked on IMDB message boards and some people are saying filming starts Oct 25th.

Is it true that the title changed to "Now"?

Yes, I believe the title has changed to Now. Is Cillian still attached to this project? He's listed on the cast list on IMDB -- but IMDB can be unreliable at times. *shrugs* They've added quite a few more people to the cast -- Olivia Wilde, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer... I don't mind Amanda Seyfried. I actually like her a lot. I'm just not too keen on Justin Timberlake... I guess we'll find out if Cillian's with this project soon enough since pictures of Justin and Amanda on set have already surfaced.
