Cillian has quite a small role in The Trench. It's quite a good film though, very tragic to see how life in the trenches was and how frightened the men were. It's nice to see Cillian in one of his first film roles though, and he does have a line or two! Don't want to give spoilers if you do decide to buy it. Perhaps you could rent a copy! I've got all of Cillian's film, even the Trench!! I've just bought Peac*ck and Perriers Bounty too... I'm the same with music, if I like a group I just have to buy everthing that they release. Just can't get enough to Cillian though, and I think that there is lots more to come. Can't wait!

Oh my gosh !! You guys have so many DVDs !! As a new Cillian fan, I only have The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Cold Mountain, The Dark Night and Batman Begins...xD and the only one I bought because of Cillian is The wind that shakes the barley. I already had the others long ago before I discovered Cillian ^^

Sounds like a great starter collection to me Nicky! Never seen anything older out of Cillian's stuff than The Edge so far. Not super into war movies as a rule - but wouldn't mind seeing what the Trench is like myself! Seems a pity to me that Cillian isn't even in it that much - but guess considering it's amongst his really early stuff that's not too surprising! Really wouldn't mind checking out The Girl with the Pearl Earring either. To begin with wasn't sure if it'd necessarily be my thing, but after finding out more on it thought it sounded pretty good!

I agree with you nicky, the movie at certain points can be very dull. I still own the DVD only because before i seen the movie I got the chance to buy it for like $3 which was less than renting it at the time.
I just bought "The way we Live Now" from amazon last night. I also almost bought a used copy of "Bitter Harvest" but stopped myself as i was about to place my order and realized it wasnt the right "bitter harvest" It was one of the movies from the early 90's but they used the picture from "how harry became a Tree" with Cillian on the front. So I might just get that movie from ebay. Notice "sunburn" is up on ebay( I love that movie), but it's only for reg2

Had a look for Sunburn on Ebay but it's only the Spanish version, which is dubbed. There's no way i want to hear someone else speaking in Spanish when Cillian's mouth is moving- his voice is much to nice to miss out on. I hate how Irish movies end up not getting a proper release in Ireland!

I was thinking the same thing razz. I'm like this movie has Irish actors going to America seems like people would like to see it cuz it's a comedy, but I had to get a region 4 DVD. I think that's Australia or something. I'm like what?

I hate when films are dubbed and even more when they dub Cillian... they should just do that to the rest of the cast and put subtitles when Cillian speaks.. or something. Ok no, but I don't think I want to watch Sunburn dubbed.. I was thinking the same thing razz. I'm like what? region 4 is for Mexico, heh, probably the less compatible dvd ever made and that's why I have my own japanese multi-region dvd XD i dont understand how is it that Sunburn is on Ebay dubbed in spanish?! but not the irish version...

Yeah soon I will be able to watch it though because I want to get a Region free DVD player because there are some other movies I want to get that are not available for Region 1 which I think is kinda stupid. If a movie is made it should be available in every region.

I was disappointed with Sunshine when I initially watched it, but it's amazing after multiple watches. Unfortunately, I only own 3 Cillian DVD's -- Red Eye, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight (if that even counts ).
