Okay so i just have to know, is it just me or does any one else in here pick up accents like mad? I'm terrible for it. Set me infront a telly with some folks going on in some accent and I'm off for the rest of the bloody day caring on like a Mick or Brit or what ever the film happens to be based in. I confuse the hell out of my co-workers. It's a sad sad state to be in. Cause it's not like I can control it or anything? I won't even really know I'm doing it till someone points it out to me. I feel like a total git!!! An of course watching On the Edge about an hour ago didn't help much. Pry be dreaming in a bloody accent tonight. *s* well guess it wouldn't be all bad if beacuse of all of it Mr Murphy made a small cameo? Maybe this could be a good thing after all. *lol*

I can pull a mean ol' brittish accent! lol.
I think if you watch enough movies and interviews of brittish or Irish people (and not just Cillian Murphy!) being able to imitate the accent gets easier and easier.

it's a talent I wish I posessed ( among many others ) but I'm terrible at it - so I don't try it.

Haha so do I. It just comes out. I can pull off a british accent too, cause I spent loads of time with my family in England when I was little. I like trying to talk in accents... it's always funny

A "mick" is an in refreance to Irish person. Not recomeded if your not blood. *lol* It is a bit of a talent i guess sometimes its a bit of a curse. i know what you mean by trying really hard to to take one on when your actually round someone that speaks that way. I don't want them to think I'm making fun of them dear god just the oppisite. BAH! eh what ever...

I'm of Irish blood! *laughs* Nah...I'm a mut. So I have some, but not all. *tear* I can do a resonable British accent, and sometimes Irish when it slips in, and a bit of Canadian. Just whatever yo. =) British is very easy for me. In high school orchestra this girl thought I was from England until I dropped the accent. =D

I can do both an irish accent and a british one. The funny thing is it comes when I don't want it to. One day at work one of my students noticed I was talking weird. He asked, "Mrs. G. why are talking funny? You sound like someone from another country." I was sounding like I was right out of Ireland. gotta stop watching Cillian's movies!!!

today was so fun! I dared my cousin to talk in a british accent for the whole day and she said she'd only do it if I did it too. so we would go around like, "oi! ya reckon I should just get wota?(water)" and everyone else was like wtf? hahaha

I remember watching 28 Days Later and always repeating the part in the church where he says "Foder(father), are you okay?" ... My friends had to pry the remote from my fingers just to finish the movie.
