OMG... Playboy was coming to North America, but only stopping in two places: New York... and Minneapolis. Minneapolis? WTH? They're only coming to two places and one is Minneapolis? AHHH! And I missed it! And even though Cillian wasn't there, I still would have loved to go... *sigh*

so, my friend went to lincoln center for this JM Synge extravaganza, which was all of his work and it was 7.5 hours long (with intermissions and dinner etc). and she was telling me about it, and was describing one of the plays and i was like "is this the playboy of the western world?" and it was... so it was allll of his work (6 plays i think)... the people who saw it werent crazy about the plays... but oh well, they said that playboy was the best one, and i think that it sounds fabulous... one criticism of theirs was that they couldnt understand them, because of the accents, which led us to get into a discussion about the irish and connections with the way they speak... (well, i dont know if thats really true, just from what ive seen)

i just finished reading the play and now i wish i could see him in it even more i can definately see him as christy
