Great film with a all women in the cast, no men.  What a biatch fest ;D ... I think it was the only time Joan Crawford and Norma Shearer appear in the same film together. |

Only regret is that the whole thing isn't in Technicolor. Usually I'm all about the black and white, but it would have been a great one-and-only opportunity to see Shearer in color. Rosalind Russell is a scream in there, isn't she? Love her catfight with Paulette Goddard! It was the only time Crawford and Shearer acted together, though Joan-- oddly enough-- appeared as Norma's body double in a 1925 silent, "Lady of the Night." Really wish someone would do a tell-all book on the making of "The Women," along the lines of "All About All About Eve."  |
