I LOVE House...I have been watching House since last year. Sadly for for season I have only watched it a few eppys because Fox TV is covering baseball......the same with The O.C. I won't be able to watch these shows until November.. Hugh Lauries is brilliant as the crusty Doc, but I have grown to love his character, he was does care about his patients no matter how bitter and he comes across. Another thing I didn't know he is British, he nailed down an American accent quite well. I also learned he did comedy on a BBC show, I forget the name. Actually this doesn't surprise me at all. A lot of his delivery is hilarious in House. I was really rooting for him at last months Emmy's, I just don't see how James Spader won over Mr. Laurie. Thanks for starting this thread revengent.

OH! I looovvee this show! I was instantly addicted after watching the very first episode! Hugh Laurie is damn funny and cute! I didn't realize he was british either, until I saw him on this comedy show on BBC America with Mr. Bean. He looked much much younger and he had a much higher voice, nothing like his character on House. I laughed my a$$ off when I found out it was him! Great show and great of you to mention it!

I just read that TV Guide has confirmed that Cynthia Nixon will guest star on an episode of HOUSE this December, playing a patient with a mysterious illness. Yipe! I love her ..good to see her doing more drama.

I was reading the title of this thread and going - hell, yeah, I watch House!!!
Cmon - the show deals with random, weird medical conditions - but what about the side characters?? Those random patients that Dr. Cuddy forces House to deal with? There was one where there was a Spanish woman with 5 kids by 5 different fathers and her hubby had no clue - and House called her on it!!!
OH MAN!!!! And I agree - Hugh is British and you would not know it from listening to him in the series!!!
I am not a fan of OC so that works out eprfectly for me!!!

I love the show, and have watched since the beginning. I'm usually not fond of really sarcastic characters, but somehow House is an exception. Probably because he's so blunt as well as sarcastic. He says the types of things I might think but never say. Plus I like the supporting characters, and most of the storylines are interesting.
The move to Mondays will be good for me, because right now there's too much on Tuesday nights and only one other show I watch on Mondays (Medium).
