Ohmegawd I love this movie
I recently saw it on DVD and am so regreting I didn't see it in theatres!
I love every bit of it
I'm also a Brittney Murphy fan and even though her part was short-lived I think she's just great! I also love Elijah Wood but he played such a weird part! It was creepy...
I think the cinematography was amazing and the directing was great...
Anyone read the actual comics - I'd like to get my hand on one I just love the story

Ahh, great[/b] movie. I, too, regret not seeing it in theaters. I was blown away at the fantastic job they did with it. Very, very impressive. And I'm glad it didn't contain mindless, pointless vulgarity too.
Psh. One of my friends told me it was just a guy movie and that I may not have liked it. No I want to go," Uhh, noooo . . . It was a comic book movie, which is often associated with being a guy movie." For whatever reason.
P.S. Elijah Wood's character was my favorite. I love those kind of silent and insane characters. ^^ And I dunno why, but when he first appeared and I saw that kind of geekiness about him with the shine of his glasses and the sharp features of the face, I was immediately reminded of Cillian's role as Crane in BB. ^^;

I wish I could see this movie so badly! Alas, I'm not allowed to veiw R rated movies. My poor, delusional parents believe that even at 17 they have a chance of keeping me innocent. The things they don't know... Ps: Now I have to go look up pics of Elijiah in this role! Darn you, I'll be late for school!

I love Sin City, it is dark, graphic film noir has much in common with 1940s classics "The Third Man" and "The Maltese Falcon," but fails to capture their greatness due to wooden characters and over-the-top violence. It's a beautiful film to look at, with gorgeous black-and-white cinematography and amazing art direction that really captures the essence of comic book settings like no film since "thingy Tracy." There are also several stand-out performances, most notably Mickey Rourke as the hulking brute Marv and Benicio del Toro as corrupt cop Jackie Boy, but it's not enough to elevate this beyond camp classic status.

I didn't really dig Sin City that much, just not really my taste. They created a really good mood with the colours and lighting and the characters were depicted alright. Just the all out gore and near nekkid chicks in every second scene put me off. I would've appreciated it more if they toned it down a bit, but then again the story is based around violence and sleaze. Dayna, your banner of Pig is awesome

Yeah - my mom was weirded out by all the gore and sex and SIN in SIN city haha and that's why I didn't go! I hate myself for that!
Oh BTw to all you Cillianites - I love Kevin too and actually EWood was one of my first celebrity crushes a million years ago when I saw him in flipper 2 or something stupid - he has great eyes (sound familiar) and the crush kind of came back during the Lord of the Rings movies it's just he still kind of looks like he's ten so that obsession has dropped.
My cover has Willis and Alba on it I think... if not it's the Goldie one cause that was my favorite story.

I loved Sin City! I saw it with my dad and he didn't really like it but then I bought it and he watched it again. He loves it now. I've only read the first book but I'm definately going to get the others. I didn't think Elijah was very good for Kevin though, even though I love him.

I just saw it! I thought the cinematography was fantasic as well! The black and white with a hint of color effect was amazing! (reminded me of my photography class)
I felt like I was reading a comic book in motion!

I also loved the movie. I like the black-white thing... And I also liked Elijah Wood, I really wanted to see Frodo to eat people. He always played 'cute' parts but here he didn't.. Btw for the Elijah fans among us: Hooligan is almost playing in cinemas
