ok i watched the libertine last night starring johnny depp, and it deeply disturbed me! he was like falling apart and looked really gross, i felt scared after i watched it. any one else see this movie? it was one of johnny's most disturbing performances  |

i rented it at blockbuster, so it may be at a dvd store by you. it came out in 2005.

I saw on a french website that here it was released on the 25th of january in 2006 and it'll be released on dvd the 5th of september. that's not a very long time from now!!that's cool I will rent it! |

ok wow! this movie was amazing! Johnny with that short of hair is soooo HOT it was amazing to see him like that, it just mmmmmmmm, yea thats hot, but yea um later in the movie he scares me and i wish he didnt look like that but if he can do that and look that bad that tells you he is a good actor b/c he cares more about giving it a good acting moment then just looking good, so i praise him for that!

i agree w/ discoharvest, this was definatlty one of his better roles. he did a really good acting job! the story is about his life, he's a playwrite that is well respected in England. everyone knows his plays, but i guess at that time the writer's were very sexual and drank a lot, etc. so he's a really nasty kind of guy. and he has a disease, so he is sick in the movie but it gets worse as it goes on. so he ends up writing a very nasty play bashing the king and gets driven out of town, and his life starts to really fall apart from there. thats basically the whole story in a nut shell |

You know wht? Didnt bother me cause it just shows how good of an actor he is when he doesnt care how he looks on film. He actually encourges them to do things like tht to him...Like In Sleepy Hollow he wanted the whole big nose and stuff but he was told no. XD. Maybe he wanted to do that role to get the fangirls off his back and stop them from stalking him! XD
And ummm...Ya Like wht Bitterpigs said dont watch infront of parents...I was watching it infront of my mom and I was like blushing and trying to hide my face. It's wierd to sit there and watch it with parents ya know? It's just creepy feeling.

true he's trying to get more credit for his acting than his looks i think. but yeah when the part w/ the play came on...i was really embarressedLOL but he did look creepy towards the end, what disease did he have?
