man last friday, i went to go see this and it was sold out through the weekend.

I just saw it, and I enjoyed it. I'm definitely looking forward to the next one. Don't think I'll need to see it again while it's in the theaters (too expensive!), but I'll probably get it when it's out on DVD.

This past weekend there was a little over a 50% drop in attendance. I'm guessing it will be less crowded as time goes on. This coming weekend should be a good time to go.
I thought it might not be too crowded when I went, since it was the first showing on a Sunday, but I got there a half-hour early anyway. I got a decent seat, but by the time the movie started the theater was almost full.

^Yeah, I did see it! I liked Johnny's performance more than the rest of the movie, but I still really enjoyed the movie. Every time he was on-screen I just kept staring at him and listening carefully to what he said. Can't explain why I think that character is so hot, when I usually can't stand facial hair. Maybe next time I see it I'll be able to pay attention to the other people in the scenes with him.  It really helps to see it on the big screen, but my vision is really weird. I can't take in even the whole TV screen, let alone a movie screen. One time I watched a particular scene in a soap opera episode about six or seven times, and when I was discussing it with a friend, she pointed out that our guy had his jeans half-way unbuttoned, and they were almost falling off his hips while he was running down the stairs. I was so focused on his face, I missed that vitally important detail.  So I guess that means I'll have to see this movie a few more times so I don't miss something crucial to the story. ;D |

I must & will see it again, period!!!!!!!!!! There's some movies I'd love to see but can wait for DVD(You, Me & Dupree, The Libertine*which is out now*, The Devil Wears Prada) etc. But there's some films, POTC trilogy, LOTR, HP, TITANIC, etc. That I have to, & are meant to be seen on the big screen!! That's my opinion anyway.

I don't really prefer facial hair on men either, but it's an exception with Johnny. He has had facial hair for most of his roles. It suits him real well. Makes him look VERY sexy! I'm seeing POTC2 again this weekend. I think everyone should do the same. Add to the gazillion dollars it's already made.  |
