Hello, I'm new here (as you've probably figured out) and just wanted to say hello. I first became a fan of Cillian after watching 28DL and then watched out for him in other movies. I only recently got a computer so I haven't been able to catch up with all the news and so forth. When I went to see Batman Begins the other night I was so stunned (in a good way) to see him on screen. I actually squeee'd and said - "Hey that's Cillian Murphy". Others in the cinema didn't seem as excited (or happy about my outburst) as I was. He has such sensational eyes. I don't think I watched anything else during the movie. It was a welcome distraction though. Bale annoyed me as Batman - what was with that husky whisper he had going on? I kept asking (yes I actually asked out loud, yet another reason for fellow cinema patrons to dislike me) if he wanted to suck on a lozenge. Anyhoo...just saying hello and lovely to be here. I'll see you around the boards.

So how did the audience react? Did they laugh or something? How did they react to the lovely Dr. Crane?

i'm not sure... i was too entranced wit his eyes lol
but about Bale as Batman, it was a 50/50 thing some we upset i think about his creepy voice, others, like my brother thought it was awesome.....
as for our beloved Dr. Crane aformentioned above, also 50/50.... soem like myself and friend were IN LOVE with him (lol!) but my father thought he was creepy... i was non-intentionally easedropping in the restroom after the movie...
"what did u think of that doctor guy?" "he was so weird!" "really i thought he was really hot..." *insert random giggles*

haha my older bro thinks he's awesoem too, we were talking about him to day he was "He's so cool! I just want to be his friend!" lol me and my bro have different opinions when it comes to actors (because we are both performers) so the fact that we agree on Cillian is awesome

It seemes like it was 'date night' for everyone when I went and saw the movie. The reaction from other audience members was mostly snickers at my squeeee or my lozenge question and a few make out sessions when it was Bale and or Holmes on screen. I mostly zoned out if Cillian wasn't on screen. He was the only thing that stopped my brain from going completely stale.
Yes, it is Jeff Buckley in my sig. I noticed your sig too. Jeff is my all time favourite artist. I've loved him for years and years. (notice my name aswell) That is also one of my favourite songs you quoted in your sig. He is a genius and I adore him and miss him greatly.
Many happy SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEE's!
And a big hello to you all and thankyou for your warm welcome. It is nice to know I am umongst likeminded obsessors! lol

I came pretty close! Lol Thank god I was able to leave for the bathroom at certain points otherwise I would have been. I couldn't hold back the laughs on some occasions. Namely where Batman lifts up long haired perp upsidedown in the rain and does the throaty, whisper deal to him. Don't know why this particular moment was funnier than the others - but it just made me laugh uncontrolably!

I suggest taking along some lozenges and offering them up to the so-called-'stah!' of this film. If all else fails you can always poke a couple of eye holes in your popcorn box and stick it on your head. I find watching a movie through my popcorn box is rather fun! I'm sure this won't worry any of your fellow movie goers.
