The song he sings in BOP gives me a pedophile-vibe. Gavin's voice is really old and raspy and Cillian's is all sweet and innocent-like. It's pretty creepy. Maybe it's just me though. Anyway, I have a couple questions about Cillian: 1) Has he ever said what religion he follows? (I realize he's pretty private, but I figured it was worth asking.) 2) Has he ever said the reason(s) why he's a vegetarian? I'm pretty new here, so I searched this forum to see if they've already been answered and, as far as I can tell, they haven't. Just wondering if any fans who've been obsessed longer than I have would happen to know these things.

1) Has he ever said what religion he follows? (I realize he's pretty private, but I figured it was worth asking.) No, he's athiest.
2) Has he ever said the reason(s) why he's a vegetarian? Because there's to much sh*t put in meat.

May I ask where you got this info? Just asking. BTW...I love that quote in your siggy. That was the sweetest part of the movie.

Cillian called himself an atheist in the March 2007 issue of Premiere magazine. I like that he's not afraid to publicly admit that he's atheist. I'm an atheist too.

You're quite welcome. The vegetarian comment he's made in a couple of interviews, I think.

I am confused. I can't tell wether Cillian was speakin of himself being an atheist, or if he was speakin of his character being an atheist

Cillian summarizes how Sunshine raises the whole science vs. religion argument when it comes to whether humans should attempt to intervene with nature's course. It is after this comment that he mentions being an atheist. He also mentions that this movie's relevance coincides with the controversial "intelligent design" argument.
As far as his character's atheism is concerned, it's always been my observation that a significant percentage of scientists are either agnostic or atheist. Science deals with proving theories based on empirical evidence and religion is, well, based on faith.
Therefore, I'm not surprised that some of Sunshine's scientist characters are atheists.

Well at least he is married and not gay. Like Alicia Silverstone ( in the movie Stormbreakers) said that all good looking guys in London are either gay or married, guess he gets into the later catigory

HAIL CILLIAN!!!
<~~~ *ish very much an athiest*
I was born and raised Irish Catholic...but I could never grasp onto the whole..."guilt trip" thing.
I hate that about Catholicism...if you do this, you are going to hell...living in fear of God. How are we supposed to just believe in this so-called God anyways? I believe in what I can see, hear, taste, touch, and feel.
I cannot base something on "Faith" alone.
I thought Cillian might be Irish Catholic, but non-practicing...but wow, he just surprises me every single day.
I LOVE IT!!!

Right... Yeah...
My question is there is, in fact, a brand new movie sequel coming out from Cill's "28 Days Later" called "28 Week Later".
Firstly, before I ask, I hate sequels with a passion, it's rare to find a good sequel so I hope nobody starts yelling at me with their opinions about a 28 Days Later sequel. I just wanted to know...are all of the original cast members (the ones the lived) going to be in the sequel...?
