This is basically a spin off and my version, of what happened in Red Eye, with some changes.... I wanted to write the story thinking what might've happened if Jackson had let his feelings show on the plane and Lisa didn't need to make the phone call in the end. So here we go! Hopefully this isn't awful. _________________________________
Shoulder slunched up against the little wall of the plane, her eyes stinging, Lisa took in deep breaths. The little blonde girl behind her, she noticed, had been staring worridly up at her. The door of the bathroom soon opened, and Lisa squeezed her way past the man leaving, mumblilng out a pathetic "Excuse me".
She broke down as soon as the lavatory door was shut and the 'ocupied' sign flashed. She fell into the strength of the door and slid down; her tears melting past her eyes and streaking down her face. Breathing heavily, she lifted the lid of the toliet and the nauseous feeling in her stomach grew, but then subsided.
"Get up." She mumbled to her self, pushing her hair back from her face.
She let out a slight groan as she clutched her hands to the sink, knuckles turning white, and lifted her weight up onto her feet. She stared into her reflection, noticing all the tear stains and the fear written across her eyes.
Pumping the soap into her hands, she scrubbed them together with force. Her eyes burned with the threat of more tears. She slowly stopped scrubbing and stared at the soap, a thought sprinting through her mind. She glanced up at the mirror, and then reached her hand up to begin what might just be her last chance for getting help.
Quickly, her pale fingers streaked across the mirror, leaving soapy traces of the words 18F has bomb.
~~~~~~~~~~
Jackson finally took his seat after noticing the blonde girl had gave him a look. A look which read that she knew something was going on.
Pull yourself together now, Jackson. Your job is almost done, she does the call, and you no longer need to worry about another assignment. She's just another pretty face, that's it.
He rubbed his eyes slowly, trying to keep awake through this late flight. Or was it early?
He blinked his eyes a few times and leaned himself back deep into the chair, getting comfortable.
If she doesn't come out soon-
His cell phone began to ring. A puzzled look ran across his face momentarily.
He quickly pulled his cell phone out and looked at the caller ID.
His boss.
Wondering why he might be calling, Jackson answered his phone.
"Yeah?"
"Ahh, Jackson. I see you've made it on the plane just fine."
"Yes. Why are you calling?" He asked, curiously.
"There's been a change of plans. I have reason to believe that once the girl has made the arrangements and Keefe is killed, she will spill."
Jackson sat quietly on the plane, dreading what might be coming next.
"Jackson? You do know what this means, don't you?" His boss' voice questioned over the line.
Jackson took a deep breath and swallowed hard.
Why am I taking this so hard?
"Kill the girl, and kill her father."
The line was cut off as his boss hung up on him.
"Kill Leese?" Jackson's voice whispered out.
This is defintaley NOT what happened in the bathroom in the movie, only parts are. I will say that now so no one thinks that I have everything all wrong! ;D
CHAPTER 2 ___________________________
Almost instantly, the phones came back on.
Suck it up Jackson. Now get her to make that call.
Jackson stood instantly from his seat and strode towards the lavatory door. Standing there, he heard faint shuffling around, and then the door opened.
Lovely timing.
"Hello Leese-" Jackson's eyes caught onto something written on the mirror.
Grabbing Lisa by the throat, he shoved her back into the bathroom, shutting it behind him.
Again the 'ocupied' sign flashed back on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lisa rinsed off her hands and wiped them off quickly. One quick glance at the mirror, and she decided she should hurry and get back to her seat before Jackson came to get her and saw the message.
Turning around, she grabbed the sliding door's handle and pulled. Letting out a slight scream, she saw Jackson standing there already.
Oh god!
"Hello Leese-" His eyes moved from hers to the mirror.
Soon his hands were wrapped around her throat, and her back was up against the lavatory wall. Gasping for breath and trying to pull his hands off, she listened to Jackson ramble on helplessly.
She could tell that something had made him pour more rage into this assualt, and she obviously assumed that it was because that she had almost left another message to be found.
"Can't...breathe." Lisa choked out.
Glaring at her, face only inches from hers now, he realesed his grip from around her throat.
"Nice try Leese." He muttered, taking water and some paper towels to try to rid the mirror of its message.
"You don't have to do this you know." Lisa whispered to him.
Jackson took his eyes from the mirror long enough to see the hopefull look in her eyes. He gave her a smirk and went back to wiping off the mirror.
She tried again, "I know him, Keefe, he's a decent man."
Tossing the paper towel down, Jackson turned to her. "Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Like you."
Something about the way he said that last part....it sounded strange to Lisa.
"You're not going to get me to stop doing my job, Leese." He said, standing right in front of her again.
She noticed his eyes fall down to her chest. Her heart sped up a bit.
Whether it was a good or bad speeding up, she had no idea. But as soon as she noticed what he was looking at, her heart seemed to stop beating all together.
"Where'd you get that?" His voice asked.
Her eyes shot up to his, which were still inspecting her scar.
Did I just hear...sympathy in his voice?
"Did someone do this to you?" He asked again.
"No." She said flatly.
Instantly his mood switched and again he had her by the throat.
"Well I happen to think you're a liar." Jackson growled at her. "I followed you around for eight weeks, and never once did I see you order anything other than a sea breeze."
And as quickly as his anger had came, it was gone. He dropped her stood in front of the mirror again, fixing his hair and shirt.
"Thanks for the quickie."
He took a step and was in front of the door and opened it, switching off the lights. He turned around and reached out his hand and grabbed her by the arm out of the lavatory. He followed her back to their seats, but was soon stopped by a stewardess' voice.
"Sir."
Jackson stopped and peered around the corner.
"This isn't a motel, sir." The stewardess said, a disgusted look on her face.
Jackson smiled back and winked, "Sure."

Well, hopefully so far the ones who've read this like it so far! Now I just am in the mood to keep writing... I just realized how much I switched the movie's plot line around...wow... CHAPTER 3___________________ Lisa sat back down in her seat, faintly catching what Jackson and the stewardess had just said. Sighing deeply, she rested her face in her palms and let out a light whimper. She wondered how the people on this flight could just so easily not know something was going on. How could they go on with their lives, while just feet away she was being threatened by a murderer?! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He turned on his heel and headed back towards his seat, watching as Lisa slowly took her head in her hands and her shoulders began to shake. He felt a pang of guilt as he realized he was the reason she was so upset. He was the reason why she was in so much pain right now. He forced those pathetic thoughts deep into the back of his mind, and focused on getting that call made. "Suck it up, Leese. Now, I need you to call the Lux Atlantic and switch his room." He grabbed the phone from the back of the seat in front of them, and slid her credit card through it. He handed it to Lisa as she began to sit upright. She took a long look at him before placing the phone to her right ear. "No." He said, as he grabbed the phone and placed it against her left ear. "Not again." She stared straight ahead for a couple of seconds as Jackson held the phone before she took it into her own hands. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Lux Atlantic resort, this is Cynthia." Lisa heard the red-head's cheerful, yet stressed, voice on the other end. She waited a bit, trying to get the shakes out of her voice before she spoke. "Hello?" Cynthia asked again. "Cynthia, this is Lisa." Lisa started, more tears brimming in her eyes. She was fully aware of Jackson staring at her. "Hey!" Cynthia's voice lightened at the sound of her. "So I guess you still need me to do that favor for you right?" "Yeah." Lisa croaked out. ~~~~~~~~~~~ No...I can't kill Leese. If she makes the call, I have to kill her. If she doesn't, they'll be after the both of us.
What am I supposed to do?
Her life?
Or both of ours?

DUN DUN DUN! I love RE fanfics and this one is no exception. Great work so far. Please continue! Wondered the same thing myself while watching the movie. Their actions weren't that covert! No one noticed the head-butting!?

Yay! Thank you Lisa Rippner (hehe), I'm glad you like my story so far! WARNING: there is swearing in this part, this is just so everyone knows and hopefully no one is offended by it.
CHAPTER 4 ___________________
"Lisa, are you ok? You sound like you're crying!" Cynthia said over the phone.
Lisa swallowed hard, "I'm fine, really. The plane is just having lots of turbulence."
"You're still on the plane?" She asked.
"Yes, the flight was delayed..." Lisa answered. "Look-"
But she never got to finish her sentence because Jackson had ripped the phone out of her hand and hung it up.
Lisa sat there for a minute, eye brows furrowed and her eyes staring straight ahead, thinking.
"Did I do something wrong?" She spoke with a vicious hint to her tone.
Jackson ignored her comment, his eyes glued straight ahead of him, remaining silent.
Now she was confused.
Did he do that...so I wouldn't make the call?
"Do you or do you not want me to make that damn call?!" Lisa shot at him, entirely lost now.
Calmly, Jackson turned his head so he was now looking at her.
"I've been recently given an order to kill you."
Her heart skipped a bit.
Was he serious? He was going to kill her?
And the way he said it...it was strange. He seemed calm, but like he was hiding something....
Lisa gulped slowly, "So...that means...you're just going to kill me? No phone call?"
Jackson grinned, but it soon disappeared from his face. "Leese, while you were in the bathroom, trying to leave that nasty message, I got a call from my boss. He told me to kill you and your father."
"I-I don't understand. Why?"
"Because, he said you'd tell the police everything. And he doesn't want that kind of publicity, Leese."
"So...you're just going to kill the both of us? For no reason?" Lisa asked, her hands beginning to tremble and sweat.
"Calm down Leese, so far I have no need or want to kill you." Jackson said, in a compassionate tone.
"Wh-what?"
"My boss wants you dead, and your father, not me."
"Do I need to make that phone call?" She asked hesitantly.
Jackson sat silent, his eyes now on the floor. He appeared to be in deep thought.
"No, not if you can trust me. I have an idea."
Lisa's mouth flew open.
Trust him? Trust HIM!?
He was trying to kill her and her father! And he was planning on it up until just recently. Why was he suddenly going against his own boss?
"You're not going to get me to stop doing my job, Leese."
His words from only twenty minutes before buzzed through her head. He was so confusing! One minute he was pissed, next minute he was offering her asprin for her searing headache. One minute he was threatening her life, along with her father's, to make a damn phone call, and the next minute, he rips the phone out of her hands!!
"Wait...wait, you want me...to trust you?" She asked, trying to see if she had heard him right.
He nodded. "Is that hard, Leese?"
"YES!" She whispered harshly, trying not to cause a scene. "You've been trying to kill me!"
A frown flew across Jackson's face, "That was before..."
She squinted her eyes at him suspiciously, "Before what?"
He shook his head, trying to shake off whatever train of thought he was on.
"Look, I'll make you a deal. If you promise to be a good girl, no escapes, or messages or calling cops or anything, I won't lay a finger on you. We'll get off the plane, stop my 'dog' from hurting your father."
Lisa kept her eyes squinted at him in the same manner, "What's the catch?"
He paused, "After we save your dad, you pack your things and come with me. No attack will happen on the Keefe's, you and your dad live, and I no longer work for the organization."
"Why do I have to go with you?" Lisa asked him, almost sounding appalled.
She noticed his gaze drop for a second, along with the corners of his lips, "Because, Leese, do you really think they won't come after you? I'll help you out by protecting you, kill my boss or strike a deal with him, you go home safe and sound, and I no longer have a job to worry about, as I said before. Deal?"
Lisa dropped her gaze to her hands on her lap that were still trembling. "You promise no more choking or head butts?"
"If you cooperate."
She sighed, "Alright, but if you go back on your promi-"
"I don't break promises, Leese. I'm a man of my word."
Lisa studied him for a bit, unsure of what to do next.
Why is he doing this for me? Or, is it somehow, for him?
After the two sat in silence for a half an hour, Lisa noticed Jackson's eyes drifting shut a bit. They still had an hour or so left of the flight and she was no longer tired. Out of the corner of her eyes, she watched him slowly falling asleep. She glanced to her side at the pillow next to her arm, and then back to him.
His head was now resting sideways, facing the isle and away from her. She stared at him a bit longer, wondering if he really was asleep.
Quietly, and very carefully, she picked up the pillow by her arm and turned in her seat. She gingerly lifted his head and gently placed the pillow under him, setting his head down slowly as to not disturb him. She moved the few strands of hair out of his closed eyes, and found herself whispering quietly, "Sweet dreams."

Aww, I'm so glad my story isn't being un-liked here! Okay, I'm still having tons of fun writing this, so here comes another part! CHAPTER 5__________________ Deep in thought, Lisa kept her eyes glued to the window of the airplane, watching the passing storm below as the night began to slowly fade to morning. Humming silently to herself, she felt shifting next to her side. Knowing it was Jackson, she blushed upon remembering when she gave him the pillow only forty minutes ago. She knew he was going to know she placed the pillow under his head. What if he heard what I had said to him?!Lisa began to panic within her head, wondering how he would react to what she had done. Sure it was out of the kindness of her heart....or was it something more? Duh, of course not! He tried to kill me after all..."Leese." Jackson said beside her, a raspy voice from just waking up. She jumped, being pulled out of her thoughts. Slowly, she turned her head to face him as he chuckled at her reaction. He stopped once he noticed he had her attention. "Thanks for the pillow." He said, grabbing the pillow from behind his head, and for the first time since in the air port, he smiled. An actual, genuine, smile. Something in her knew that if he could keep acting like this, she wouldn't have a problem trusting him. In her head she let out the longest sigh of her life, thinking Thank god he didn't hear me, but all she did was hesitantly return the smile and nod. The captain of the plane finally came over the speaker system, announcing that they would be landing soon. "And the fun begins." Jackson mumbled. Lisa felt her stomach churn. She was getting nauseous from the whole ride on the plane. For her, the worst parts were the take off and the landing. In the air was all fine and dandy. "It happened in a parking lot." Lisa started. She noticed Jackson's eyes spin in her direction. She could tell he was confused. "It was two years ago." She went on, eyes now averted to her hands in her lap, fidling with her fingers. Jackson opened his mouth to speak, but closed it again. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Why is she telling me this? Does she...trust me?"It was in the middle of the day...and he held a knife to my throat...the whole time." Lisa bit her lip and he saw a tear streak down her face. That...bastard. If I had been there, I would've killed him. How could that have happened to her?"Ever since then, I had been trying to convince myself of...just one thing, over and over." Lisa said, breaking Jackson out of his thoughts that he didn't understand why he was thinking in the first place. He thought for a second, realizing what it was. "That it was beyond your control." She shook her head a second later. "No. That it would never happen again. That I'd never be threatened again." There was a sinking feeling in his stomach. He had done this to her, he was no better than that pervert who raped her those few years ago. And what confused him more: He hated himself for doing that to her.

Well I'm glad so far everyone likes the story, as I think I've said like...two or three times now... Yeah, I'm updating this a lot because I'm stuck at home, I just had finals so I have nothing to study for and I have a long weekend. ;D Not to mention I'm really enjoying writing this so far! Okay, I'm just going to state it now, there's likely to be swearing every once in a while in this story. I just don't feel like putting up a warning every time. Just to let everyone know. If you'd prefer I cut out those words, let me know. CHAPTER 6______________ Minutes later, bustling began to take place inside the plane. People were grabbing their luggage and bumping into each other. "Forget your luggage, I've got your purse, let's go." Jackson said, grabbing her by the arm and lifting her out of her seat. Lisa got up, confused as to why she couldn't get her things, and Jackson placed his hand on the small of her back. He guided her past the crowds of people trying to get out of the plane. She shivered at the touch of his hand on her back, but did nothing to make him remove it. As soon as the doors were opened, they were the first to get off and enter the terminal. "Why are we in such a hurry?" Lisa asked, Jackson now taking her by the upper arm and somewhat dragging her at a fast pace. "Do you want your dad to die?" He asked, his eyes straight ahead to dodge the oncoming people. She gulped and picked up her pace to match with his. Once they were nearing the exit of the airport, they began to run, no one paid much attention to them; thinking something along the lines of a couple getting off their honeymoon and hurrying to get home. "You're gonna steal the car?!" Lisa shouted at him, but covered her mouth and quickly laughed it off like it was a joke, "Haha, I thought this was someone elses...." Jackson glared at her quickly, but ripped open the car's door and shoved himself into the seat, unlocking the door for Lisa. He smiled, noticing the car still had keys in it. Turning them quickly, he pushed down on the gas pedal and flew away from where the car had been parked moments before. "You know, you'll catch more attention if you're speeding." Lisa stated to him, struggling to hold on. He glanced over at her, noticing how she was grasping onto the seat, and slowed down to the speed limit. "Put your seatbelt on." Her hand shot up and grabbed the buckle and pushed it into the slot. Righting herself, she pushed her hair behind her ears. She was about to open her mouth to tell him to take a left, but gasped when he did on his own. He looked at her curiously, "What?" "I-I just forgot you knew where my dad lived..." He nodded his head and went back to concentrating on getting them to her dad's before his 'dog' would follow orders from his boss. His boss by now would have to know she hadn't made the call, even if he didn't know the reason why just yet. Lisa clutched a hand to her chest as she watched Jackson take all the right turns, now only a few blocks from her dad's house. The house she had grown up in her entire life. For a moment, she got a paranoid feeling, but only shook it off. "Here we are." He said, pulling up into the driveway. She saw his head spin over to the silver car parked across the street. She had never seen that car before, and her heart sped up. "Damn." Jackson mumbled next to her. She glanced over at him as he flung the door open and jumped out. She copied his movements and ran up to the house as Jackson stood staring at the silver car. She reached under the pot where the spare key was hidden and unlocked the door. She was about to whip the door open when someone grabbed her arm. Jumping, Lisa whipped her head around to see Jackson right next to her. Well..this is close...maybe a little too close."Possibly not the best idea for you to go in first." Jackson whispered his suggestion. Lisa nodded and stepped out of his way, allowing him to go in first. He opened the door and surveyed the entrance way before stepping inside. The sound of a tv on completed the eerieness of the house. She gulped and soon noticed how close behind Jackson she had been. Blushing, she let him walk further ahead of her. He walked so expertly through her dad's house that she knew he had been in fact stalking her and her dad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Stop right there, Jackson." A man called from the room over. Jackson slowly headed in the direction of where the voice had just called out. Upon entering the kitchen, he saw his 'dog', Keith, holding his twelve-inch Ka-bar to Joe's throat. Not wanting Lisa to be seen just yet, he turned around to tell her to hide, but she was gone. "Lisa?" He whispered out to her. No answer.
