I'm finally working on some new artwork...but it's actually a pretty big project so it'll take me a while. I've decided that I'm going to write my Raymond Leon fanfic kind of like a short graphic novel. I'm going to make manips/digital images/scenes of Leon (and whoever else) to go with the story. It probably won't be very long, but if I like how it turns out I might make a few issues of it. I've got to do something to keep my creative juices flowing this summer. ;D For now, I made this to kind of test how I want the images to look. I called it "Night stalker" because Leon is going to be fairly dark in my fic. And by dark, I mean slightly evil.  Oh and don't worry, it'll no doubt have plenty of lemons (yay, Pub time!).   |

OMFG CAIT!!!!!!  i love THIS!!!! The darkness, the colors, and the way you somehow made Leon even more dramatic and handsome... WOW!! I love the moon through the window, and the spooky looking background beyond the car... this is SO COOL! How unique and stunning!! It's so neat that you are making these to go along with a fanfic! That's how I started doing my Jackson manips, too - I made my first few to go along with Crossing the Line as I wrote it; they were supposed to be "scenes" from the fic, lol. I love it when fic writers make fan art to go with their stories, and vice versa - I can't wait for more from you!! This pic is so gorgeous and mysterious!! CB!!!!! |

OMG!!! Thank you so much girls, I can't tell you how pleased I am that you all like it. I was unsure of it at first because I had the image perfectly in my head, and I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I kept changing things. Pisces - I agree, I love seeing images to go with fanfics! I love being able to see scenes right in front of me, and of course yours are just flawlessly done! Also, I think making these kinds of images really helps build inspiration to keep writing. Zombie - I'm so glad the lighting stood out to you!! I wanted the image to be dark, but I also wanted bits of light pouring in on parts of his face, and I was hoping it turned out well!! I'm very excited about this entire thing!  Shamrocks - it's built from an image from the movie, so no I guess it's not a genuine digital creation in the sense that I built on top of an image and didn't create it from scratch. Thank you for all your kind words, and CBs! I really hope you will all like the story too! |

WOW! Cait that is amazing! I love the colours... OH WOW Blue !!! This is very good, let me tell you that! There's a kind of a symmetrie and evenness in his features that is often lacking in many portrait drawings I've seen before. (Even in some failed attempts of my own ones LOL  ) You managed to draw the outline of his face very accurate, cheekbones and jawline are wonderfully done! And also he has that typical sweet Cillian charm in his eyes and the whole facial expression. That also comes form the said evenness of his features. You composed the features and the proportions in general very well, which is important to draw a face. I've seen so many drawings of Cillian where the several features and the shading is perfect, but the whole composition of the face is just bad and wrong! Also the hair is TYPICALLY Cillian!  It's exactly his "usual" haircut. So your drawing in general is very recognizable!! ;D Maybe his nose is the one aspect which you may have to give extra attention next time (if you are doing a second one at all. Which I hope, because you clearly have talent for this!) But don't worry: His nose is quite a difficult thing to draw, actually. That's at least my own experience with his angelic face. Would be wonderful if you could also post it IN the thread, so that the viewer could enjoy it by only scrolling through the thread. CB !!! |

Thank you so much! I love constructive criticism as it will make my art improve. I am always looking for ways to make things better. And yes, I noticed that the nose was a little off, so next time I will certainly focus on adding more to it. I couldn't figure out how to upload it to the thread, I am not good with computers, and it wouldn't show up. Help? XD |

LOVE it, Rose!!! I'm a big fan of black and white photography - and I can totally see the urge to put Cillian with another idol, side by side!! Beautifully done!! Blue, that is completely fantastic!! Zombie is right that you have definitely captured Cillian's mojo in this pic; your shading and composition is wonderful. Don't feel bad about the nose; noses are the hardest facial feature to draw, and they are always a struggle, even for artists who have drawn for years. If you want to have this pic display in the thread, you need to host it somewhere like Photobucket. Rose, love your background pic!! Really like how you've made them face each other. Also, I agree with Pisces, I too am a lover of b&w photography. Great job!
