Ooooo, here's someone else Cillian could play! *fangirl squeal* Wow! Vincent was my favorite character in that game. I'm a *huge* fan of the Silent Hill series. I nearly fell off my chair when you brought him up. I think he may appear a bit too older looking for Cillian though. Still, Cillian's camelon-like acting could pull it off. You know, this is a bit of a stretch, but I think Cillian would make a seriously awesome Vergil for Devil May Cry. he's got that crazy look in his eyes and the bone structure. Not to mention, I wouldn't mind having Cillian sport that awesome, pulled back and retro hairstyle. Talk about insane.

Hmmm, perhaps he could. And since Virgil and Dante are twins, Cillian may have to play them both. That would be so sexy. And now for someone else. I didn't actually think of this, but I found this on a messageboard somewhere, and maybe it might work, but I'm not so sure. Sergei Dragunov from Tekken. I guess I could see the resemblence, but Cillian would definitely have to pack on some muscle and look convincing as martial artist (specifically combative SAMBO, which is a pretty brutal fighting style). (shrugs) I guess, I could see it, but personally, I think Mads Mikkelsen (Le Chiffre from Casino Royale) would be really good

May be a good spot-on but... er, I'd probably tell Cillian to stay as far away from fighting-based games *cough* Street Fighter... Mortal Kombat Annihilation... DOA... *cough* *cough* Believe, I want Murphy to play an awesome VG character but even I have my limits.

Yeah, most fighting game-to-movie adaptations sucked. TBH, I'm really skeptical over the new Street Fighter movie (especially when it has Kristen Kreuk as Chun-Li >_<) and the upcoming Tekken movie. Every post I'm making now is just one new character Cillian could possibly play. So here it is. The Crimson Twins, Tomax and Xamot from GI Joe. I know absolutely nothing about GI Joe, but this guy I know in real life (who loves GI Joe) then told me that he thought Cillian could play the twins. I could see the resemblence, plus I just love the idea of Cillian playing twins.

;D Good lord! Perhaps Cillian could play Flash Gordon while he's at it! You know what, I wouldn't mind seeing Cillian in a 'Grand Theft Auto' game. He's got that twisted/edgy personality all those characters from the GTA series has. ... Hot Coffee anyone? (lol, kudos to anyone who got that last part. ;D )

Meh, I don't care much for GTA; it feels more like hype than actual substance to me. Or maybe it's because I'm a girl? And BTW, guys, you can all contribute to this! Have fun with this!

I have been watching this thread for a while, but I have no idea of what is being talked about. How can you make a video game into a movie? What is the storyline/plot? It looks intersting, but I am confused. Help?

Well, you generally base the movie off of the game's story and roll it from there. Most game-to-movie adaptations have sucked, but they seem to be getting better (just as long as Uwe Boll is kept away from it).
As for the story of Metal Gear Solid, it's kinda hard to simplify, but here's the most basic rundown - MGS centers on an elite Special Forces Operative known as Solid Snake who's sent off to fight against these terrorists who have somehow gained control of a superweapon called "Metal Gear," a walking tank that can launch nuclear missiles from any location on earth. But as he gets deeper into his mission, Snake begins to realize that there's more to his assignment that what he was just told. The Metal Gear series are full of big political conspiracies, as well as many philosophical debates (nature vs. nurture, the concept of freedom, pacifism vs. war, and many others). MGS is really intricate, but it's a really deep kind of story you probably might not have expected from a military inspired action game. I definitely recommend that you play them; you won't be disappointed.
The characters that I suggested Cillian play in the MGS movie adaptations were Hal "Otacon" Emmerich (a hacker/scientist who teams up with Snake because he's vehemently against nuclear weapons) or Jack/Raiden (a former child soldier who also teams up with Snake to fight against this shadowy organization called The Patriots).

I think he could play it but then again I think he could play like every role. I'm a bit biased obviously. Same with Hugh Laurie.
