I don't know if this actually qualifies as a fan fiction but the idea just popped into my mind and I wasn't sure where else to put it.
I kinda want other people to add there own story's onto this if you want because I know all of us have dreamed of this moment at one point or another and only a select, lucky few have been able to have it actually happen to them.
Think about where you would be, what you would do, what you would say, and what he would say to you if you ever met Cillian. Just imagine yourself....
I'm in London on my Student Ambassador trip, spending time with my homestay family. I happen to be walking down a street when all of a sudden I see someone who looks familiar. I double check just to make sure. Yes, it is, it really is him! I'm not sure what to do. Will I have the guts to approach a person I've never even met and tell them how much I admire them? Will my shyness overcome my desire to ask him to take a picture with me? How will I even ask? No time to waste, he's heading off in another direction. I begin to run his way. He turns around to notice me and I freeze at the site of his amazingly blue eyes. "Umm... excuse me" I say in a sheepish voice. "Are you Cillian Murphy?" "Yes" he says. I've already forgotten how to breath. "Umm.... I was just..... I....wanted to say your my favorite actor and..... I.... really love your movies." "Thank you" he says, a little smile appearing on his wonderful face. "Umm... I was wondering if I could take a picture of you?" I ask, feeling very awkward. "Sure" he says. I take my portable camera out and turn it toward him. 'Is this really happening' I ask myself. 'Snap'. The picture is taken. "Thank you soo much." I say pushing out a smile. "Thank you" he says. I begin to walk off, unable to keep back the urge to look back two or three times at the figure slowly parting from me.

I like this thread, and ashleyrose, your situation was cute, but incredibly realistic.
I have always thought it might happen a little like this:
I have just gone into the Barnes & Noble (or its equivalent in the UK) and am nosing around the shelves on some mostly deserted top level. I fin d a couple of books I like and purchase them. I make my way back to that deserted floor and go to take a seat in one of the cozy niches to sit and read. There is already someone sitting in that niche in the other chair, but their back is turned to me, and all I see is tousled dark hair bent over a book. I sit down a read foa about 20 minutes before I take a brerak to streach. The man across from me has shifted and I glance at his face briefly, and then look again. It's Cillian Murphy, for sure, and I immediatly drop my eyes back to my book. I take quick glances up at him from across the small coffe table; he is to absorbed in his book to notice at all. I sit stock still, afraid to breathe, or think, or do anything that might cause him to get up and leave. I try to go back to my book, but my eyes gloss over the pages, and the words pass through my eyes because I can't concentrate. He suddenly closes his book and sets it on the table, reaching for a second one set nearly off the edge. he bumps it off right onto my foot, and I jump. "Sorry "bout that" he half-whispers. "Could you?", he asks nodding his head at the book. I stare at him for a half second before picking it up and handing it wordlessly back to him. "Thank you," he replies with a quiet smile, while his eyes are dancing and laughing at my seeming paralyzed and uncomfortable behavior. Obviously finished with reading for a while, he asks softly "What are you reading?" I close the book on my lap and hold it up so he can read the title, because I think my mouth has forgotten how to speak english. He gives a wider smile and answers that he had read that before, and asks how I like it. With a sheepish glance I answer that I have already read it before also, and it is in fact one of my favorites while trying not to stare into his eyes for too long. There is a bit of an extended pause while we sort of just look at each other. Finally, I manage to ask "Are you Cillian Murphy?" to which he nods his head with a shy smile. Grimacing at the thought of asking such a stupid thing, I ask for his autograph and a picture. "Sure," he answers, now comprehending my earlier behavior. I hand him a wrinkled recipt from my wallet, and after he signs it he stands up and walks next to me while I pull out my camera. I almost forget how to breathe when he puts his arm arorund my waist, placing his face right next to mine. I lift the camera and smile. *flash* I set the camera down and he walks back over to his seat, picking up his things. "Thank you," I say, sitting back down, unsure of what to do now. As he is nearly ready to go he turns and says "Thank you, and enjoy that book. It is one of my favorites too. It was nice to meet you..." I sit still for a moment before I realize he is waiting for my name. "Sarah" I say letting myself gaze into those crystal blue eyes. "Sarah" he repeats. "It was very nice to meet you," and he shakes my hand smiling warrmly. As he heads down the stairs I stand completely still and watch his retreating back untill it dissapears, fighting the urge to follow him. I close my eyes and sink down into the chair, then immediatly switch to sit in his.
Well, that ended up being a little longer than I imagined, but I like it!

He has a little bit of that private, introverted brainy personality, so I like to think so. Plus, he (I think I read this somewhere) is incredibly intelligent, and "smart" people tend to read...alot!

Yes. I know he talks alot about how school and education wasn't the best fit in college, but I think I read in a thread on here that he is really smart. Even if it is not only academic, he has incredible street smarts, also.
ashleyrose, have you noticed how there are only like, 5 people posting, and that the moderators havn't been on in months? What is up with that?

Yeah, I have noticed that. I even started a thread about it and alot of people answered saying that they do come on the boards, just not that often. Actually it's kinda been this way since I joined back in July last year. Don't really know why, maybe it's because of the lack of Cillian movies coming out but I don't know. A while back on of the moderators said that the creator and original moderator died about two years ago from cancer.

Thats partiallly what I was thinking (about the lack of Cillian's movies). And I had no idea about the moderator ! I feel horrible because I thought that maybe they had all just moved on to a new obsession and left us all. Maybe I just spend way too much of my "homeworks time" on the internet/this site than is normal! (hehe)

hmmm. i really like what you two have put. mine is slightly less realistic, but here goes.
i am a writer (i really am) who just finished a script for a remake-ish of cinderella set in ireland. i meet with who ever wants to buy the rights to make a movie. we discuss posibilities for actors and i mention how cillian murphy was the inspiration for prince charming. (some time later) i come to the studio to check things out and lo and behold, cillian murphy it there talking to the guy. he sees me and motions me over. we are introduced and all i can do is stare. cillian compliments me on the script and i just stare. finally i answer thank you softly. the guy introduces me to the director who is going to bring my script to life with cillian as the lead! i almost fall over in shock! somehow i ask for his autograph and he obliges. i visit the set a couple of times before heading back to wales. i get an invite to the opening screening thing and i try to dress awesome. cillian is there and we "talk" a little. (more like him being polite and me stairing at him) he compliments me on my dress and when the night is over, he gives me a small kiss on the cheek. i go home and never see him again. (and die happy lol)

Yay, that was good (and it would be so amazing if he'd really do that)! ;D I like the way it ends too (and die happy lol).

That was cute. Did you really write a story/script like that? (about a cinderella-ish story set in Ireland) If so, that would be really cool to read. aka posting time!

yes (sort of) i am in the middle of it. i have never done a realistic perriod piece before so i am having to do alot of research on mideval ireland because i want it to be believable. when i get it farther i will post it. but when i do, where should i post it? i don't think it really fits under fanfiction.

Oh wow, that sounds neat. It could fit in fanfiction or maybe post it in About Cillian.
