....okay? well, here's the next chapter, as promised.

Chapter 12

Ashley’s body was shaking with an overwhelming fear and sadness, and she needed the pain to stop. Vivid memories of the nightmare still haunted her, and every bump of turbulence shook more tears from her cheeks. She tried to be strong, but she was too tired and weak to think straight. Riley’s arms around her, his hand stroking her hair, and the warmth of his body were strangely comforting. The fact that she had met him only hours ago didn’t even cross her mind, because he kept her there, in the moment. His whispers reminded her that she would be safe, and for the first time in a while, she didn’t feel so alone. Things like his subtle scent, which was clean, and a little outdoorsy, like freshly chopped wood, brought her back down to earth and the reality of it all. She felt cared for, protected, and wrapped her arms a little tighter around him.

Her eyes lulled open as she came to her senses. Her quivering lips were dangerously close to his slightly parted ones. It abruptly dawned upon her that she had kissed him. He hadn’t moved an inch, and she was a little scared of his reaction. Embarrassed, she opened her mouth to apologize and try to salvage some of her dignity. She looked up at him and his eyes, so close to hers, were startling. She was speechless. Brows slightly furrowed above them, his eyes looked hungry, wanting. Blushing, she opened her mouth again to explain herself, but she didn’t get the chance. Riley pressed his plush lips on hers, gently penetrating her mouth with his tongue. She grasped at any remaining shards of strength, but as her knees buckled he caught her in his arms and held her up against the wall.

His lips were almost too perfect, and against hers she felt like he was teaching her a new language. The way he kissed her was the kind of kiss that she had always avoided. It was the kind of kiss that she knew would make her fall in love. Weak, she tried to pull away a little, maybe rest her head against the wall that she was leaning on. Only distance could save her now, but considering the tiny bathroom they were in, that distance was far too sparse. Riley automatically responded to her shift, following her head with his and pressing her up even harder against the wall. She felt short of breath, but somehow it was even harder for her to resist the enjoyment of this. His hands were cradling her head, hot on the nape of her neck, wrapped around to her jaw. She closed her eyes again as he nuzzled his face against hers. They were nose to nose for a moment, and the intimacy was almost too much for Ashley to handle. It seemed like he was doing everything that scared her, everything she tried to avoid with guys. Yet at the same time, she couldn’t find the strength or sensibility to control herself. He leaned down a little and lightly nudged her neck with his nose, and this in itself made her quiver. A smile spread on her face as he placed soft, lingering kisses down her neck, making his way to her décolletage. He looked up as her smile widened a little, and his eyes were suddenly alight. Taking her face in his hands again, he just stared at her for a moment, and she couldn’t stop smiling.

“That’s what I wanted to see,” he murmured, very lightly pinching the full apples of her cheeks. His sweetness oddly prompted her mischievous streak, and before she could stop herself, she raised an eyebrow at him.

“That’s all?” she breathed, playful. Before she realized what was going on, he had shoved her up against the wall again, surprisingly rough this time. His hands were holding her thighs high on his hips, regardless of her short skirt, and her legs dangled at his sides. He was pressed against her hard, and she couldn’t help but blush. The two of them shared an intense gaze for a second, before either of them could feign any kind of composure. He looked tempted and daring, and she looked intimidated and unsure. She looked away shyly for a moment but he caught her face in his hand and gave her a soft, sweet kiss, almost as if to apologize for throwing her around like he had. He didn’t move though, not at all. Actually, as he started to fumble with the buttons on her shirt, she could feel him pressing harder against her center. She almost choked on her breath as she felt those lips on her collarbone. Her legs automatically squeezed his waist a little harder and her back arched a little bit. Her hands explored his body as if they had a mind of their own, fluttering through his straight hair, up his wiry, toned arms, lightly running their nails down his back. He too, seemed to enjoy taking his time to discover her. She savored the feeling of him savoring her, and as she leaned her forehead on his while he finished unbuttoning her shirt, she didn’t know if she could handle this sweet tension anymore.

I know it doesn't seem like it now, but I swear this story is going somewhere. Huge plot twist coming up.

well, you know _i_ don't think it's trashy at all. heh, i think once you use the word 'decolletage', you've moved past any possibilty of trashiness. that's not the only thing that elevates it from pure lust to real emotion, of course...
no, it's good, it intense without being unrealistic. we feel what Ashley feels, right? don't worry, you're on the right track!

um, start now? hehe, i know you're busy, so whenever you can. but come on, we love this! i do hope to read more about Paul now, to peek into what goes on with him as Riley starts to sort of take advantage of Ashley in that intense airplane bathroom scene. i also can't wait to see what happens there. of course keep going!
