grace is gone 2/10 Just really really bad...it was very slow, and had such a weak plot. the acting was pretty bad too...John Cusack was okay, but one girl that played his daughter was so terrible I couldn't take it anymore. I just felt shooting myself after watching this...it was meant to be sad, but was just corny.

Tropic Thunder - 8/10
It was totally hysterical, and Ben, Robert and Jack were just so funny in it. There were a few problems, particularly that some of the jokes just really fell flat for me at some points. And Tom Cruise was so funny in his little bit part too.

I watched Watership Down last night. It was good for a cartoon, but kinda bloody for a kids movie. 8/10 I don't think it's supposed to be a kid's movie. Sure it's PG, but so is Jaws. At my local Blockbuster it's in the "Anime" section and not "Family" or anything like that. The book is kind of darker than the movie since it explains Cowslip's warren and makes you much more attached to the characters so that when something bad happens you really feel for them. But yeah, it's a pretty good movie.

28 days later 10/10 just because it's Cillian. Not really my cup of tea, but it was actually better than I thought it would be.

28 days later 10/10 just because it's Cillian. Not really my cup of tea, but it was actually better than I thought it would be. I'm glad that you liked 28 Days Later, Nellie! It's definitely one of my favorite Cillian movies! It's so different and so much better than most zombie movies. Oh, and I've been noticing that you've been giving 10/10 to most of the Cillian movies that you've seen recently. I'm curious -- is it just because Cillian's in it? I've seen most of his movies, and although I'm a big Cillian fan, there were some that I didn't necessarily like a whole lot. I swear, I wanted to love them, but I just couldn't. And yes, Nellie, you should definitely check out In Bruges. It was absolutely hilarious! I'm glad you liked it, too, Razz! Married Life 7.5/10 The story and plot kinda fell flat for me a bit. The cinematography was nice though, and the costumes were absolutely gorgeous! The cast were pretty good in their roles, but I just wished that they had more to work with. Especially Rachel! She looked absolutely stunning, but her role wasn't that challenging at all. Lastly, I wasn't satisfied with the ending. It ended a bit too happily. It would've been better if it took a darker route. Enduring Love 7.8/10 It was gorgeously filmed (the opening balloon scene was breathtaking!), and the camera angles were amazing. It didn't follow the book too well though. They kept the major plot points, but they did change and omit a lot of things. I didn't mind it too much at first because I thought it was a pretty good movie in of itself (I was about to give it an 8/10, which is pretty good in my book), but they changed this one particular ending scene so much that I thought, "This was the last straw." Really great performances though - especially from Daniel Craig. I wished they'd concentrate on certain aspects of the book more (I don't want to give too much away, Kaatopp), but overall, it was a good movie (anything rated 7/10 and up for me). Atonement's definitely a better movie and a much, much more faithful adaptation. Definitely see it though, Kaatopp. I'm curious to see what you think. Before Sunrise 9/10 Beautiful, beautiful movie! I loved it! It's one of the best romantic comedies I've seen so far. It's very dialogue heavy (it's just mostly of Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy talking), but that's what's so intriguing about it. Their conversations were refreshing and quite intelligent. Ethan and Julie had amazing chemistry, and they were both so natural in their roles. I loved the "phone" scene! I love this movie. It's endearing yet it feels more realistic than most romantic comedies. Before Sunset 9/10 Sequel to Before Sunrise. Gorgeously filmed, and again, absolutely amazing and natural dialogue between Ethan and Julie. I loved this movie, too, but somehow I liked the first movie better. This one's a bit more bittersweet, and I just wasn't satisfied with the ending. I wanted a definite closure!

Hey!! Yeah I liked it... good question... would I rate the films 10 out of ten if Cillian wasn't in them... rating 28 days later 10 was probably not really right, not Red Eye either probably... more like 8 maybe... I would probably give them 7-8 if I rated them today... I guess I was just in some euphoric mood after seeing him. Cillian dazzles me. But Breakfast on Pluto absolutely deserves 10, probably MORE!!! That IS a great movie!!!! The same goes for The wind that shakes the Barley.
I should watch In bruges SOON!

Amelie 9/10 Beautifully made movie! I loved pretty much everything about it. Audrey Tautou was perfect in the role of Amelie. I loved the quirky storyline. Such a sweet and funny movie!
Music and Lyrics 8/10 It was surprisingly good. I didn't expect to like it. It's your typical romantic comedy, but it was so sweet, funny, and entertaining. Drew Barrymore is definitely at her best in these type of romantic comedies. Hugh Grant was hilarious. He's always great at playing these dopey guys.

Mysterious Skin- Directed by Gregg Araki. Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Brady Corbet, Jeff Licon and Michelle Trachtenberg.
10/10
I had watched it before and thought it was really good but some of the more disturbing scenes just stuck in my mind and i think it stopped me appreciating it fully. Now i've watched it twice more and i treasure this movie. It's extremely emotional and beautiful and the acting is brilliant- Joseph being the standout performance but Brady being close behind. It's deals with a very tender topic of child abuse and shows what a diverse and profound effect it can have on people. The last scene is one of the saddest i've ever seen- not because of a death or anything extremely over the top, simply for the emotion the actors are putting into it, and the last line will stay in my head forever.
I read reviews on Amazon before i bought it and some people were saying it was one of their favourite films while others were saying they couldn't watch past the first 20mins! I watched it, and although some scenes deal with a very touchy subject i don't think it ever shows too much and it shouldn't put you off watching it. I adore this film.

28 Days Later
7.5/10
I've watched it a couple of times, which may have dulled down my score a teeny bit, I don't know. Anyway, I think that the casting and acting in the movie are amazing as well as the pure emotion of it, but, it did remind me of quite a few zombie movies in multiple ways. It was a very, very good film, but it was also predictable and kind of repeats so many other films in many of its aspects.

Especially the book is amazing and, really, makes you feel like you're rabbit, you never knew that a field or a wood can be so scary.
