OH OH OH--kinda like Perrier in Perrier's Bounty!!! I like 3-dementional villains...like Timothy Olyphant in Live Free or Die Hard.

Yeah, one dimensional, stereotype villains are boring... As well as one dimensional, super perfect heros. You just can't connect with a chara that's perfect all over. There's just nothing one personally can identify with.

It depends on the movie. Sometimes one dimensional cartoonish baddies are fun, as in Perrier's Bounty, but you need a fun script and a very good actor. Of course I prefer more nuanced baddies. If I think they're baddies at all....the world is composed by infinite shades of grey, I refuse to believe in absolute black and absolute white. Even if Crane seems absolute black, there is actually something very childish and enthousiastic about him that's simply too cute, like a - very dangerous - misbehaving child....
