So I thought it would be fun to have a thread where you post about your favorite obscure, or perhaps not very well known actors and actresses that you love and then post a movie you recommend them in! These actors may not be obscure in all parts of the world, but for instance, Moritz Bleibtreu is a very famous German actor, but in the U.S. his name is not a household item. That is much different in Germany though. He is a really wonderful actor and has been in tons of German flicks. Most well known to Americans is probably Run Lola Run (aka: Lola Rennt), as Mani, Lola's boyfriend. I think he is really good looking (lol, but I have a thing for Germans), so I wanted to share him with you .... Moritz Bleibtreu(btw, it says, Sex without love is like spaghetti without sauce", lol) and I recommend Moritz in Das Experiment (The Experiment, which I think an American version is being made of), Lola Rent (Run Lola Run) and Im July (In July). So anyone else, favorite actors you think most people haven't heard of or seen act, and what movie would you recommend we all see?

Well he isn't really obscure but a lot of people may not know him. Patrick Wilson-He was inLittle Children and Hard Candy. He blew me away in Hard Candy. Highly recommended film. So tense and such class acting(Ellen Page is in it as well). And Gael Garcia Bernal. Most people probably have heard of him, usually from Y Tu Mama Tambien, but he's a brilliant actor. He was in The Motorcycle Diaries, Bad Education, The King, The Science of Sleep, Amores Perros, Babel and others! Plus he's just plain gorgeous. That's him in my 3rd sig picture. Here's a proper picture!

Patrick Wilson's cute. I hate to admit it though, but I haven't seen any of his movies, unfortunately. I've heard great things about his movies ( Hard Candy, Little Children), but I just haven't gotten around to seeing them. Anyway, does Cillian count? It seems that whenever I mention him to people, they are like, "Whose that?" And then I go, "You know, the guy from Red Eye." Their response: blank look. Then I go, "You know, the Scarecrow from Batman Begins." Their response: "Oh yeah, the creepy guy." Well, my picks for favorite obscure actor/actress are (in no particular order): Emily Blunt - She was awesome in The Devil Wears Prada and Wind Chill. I think we can look forward to great things from her in the future. Emily Mortimer - She's been acting for quite some time now, but I don't think she's that well known. I loved her in Match Point (she was even better than Scarlett), and she was cute in Lars and the Real Girl, too. Matthew Goode - I thought he was super cute in Chasing Liberty. I forgot about him until I saw Match Point, and I was like, "Whose that hottie?" He was pretty good in Match Point, but I have yet to see if he's a really "good" actor or not. I haven't seen his latest movie, Brideshead Revisted, yet, so we'll see. For now, I just like him because he's cute. Kelly MacDonald - She was great in Intermission, Gosford Park, and No Country For Old Men. I'm excited to see her in the upcoming movie, Choke. Rose Byrne- She's beautiful. I loved her in Wicker Park! And also in Sunshine and 28 Weeks Later (although I don't like the movies that much in of themselves). I've only seen a couple of episodes of Damages, but she and Glenn Close are awesome in it!

Razzthekid, you picked two great actors! Little Children was just amazing, and I am adding Hard Candy to my library queue (if they have it lol). Gael Garcia Bernal, WOW, I love him. My favorite film with him is probably Science of Sleep but Motorcycle Diaries and La Mala Educacion (Bad Education) were also wonderful.
Rukia, great list, Love Emily Mortimer and Kelly MacDonald. You should add Little Children to your must see list immediately. Patrick Wilson is awesome in it and it is just an incredible movie.

He is just........there are no words for how intense his performance is. And Ellen too. That film messes with your head... The Science of Sleep and The Motorcycle Diaries are my favs too! ;D I love his character in the Science. He's so funny...

Rukia has the best list with everyone I was about to list, sooo, let's see who else qualifies...
Olivia Thirlby - I really liked her scenes in Juno. She's cute, and bet she'll have a nice career ahead of her.
Nick Stahl - Ignoring the mess that was T3: Rise of the Machines (which I blame on the bad writing), Nick is so underrated. He deserves more recognition.
Rinko Kikuchi - She was fabulous in Babel.

You know what's weird- i'm on a Kings of Leon forum and whenever i use Cillian in my sig or avatar i always get people going "Oh that's the creepy guy from Red Eye". But i always get way more PM's from people saying "I love Cillian Murphy! He's gorgeous and such a brilliant actor. Just wanted to say that." or "Who's that guy in your sig/avatar? He looks familiar and he's yummy!" ;D Tis great spreading the Cillian love. There's a 'Good Looking Men' thread on that forum and i recently posted a helluva lot of Cillian pictures and in return got a helluva lot of karma in thanks! ;D

Yes, I'm definitely adding Little Children to my list. I don't know why I haven't watched it; I've heard such great things about it. And I also love Kate Winslet and Jennifer Connelly! Ah you must see Hard Candy. Powerful film, amazing acting. Yup, Hard Candy's going on my list, too. I love Ellen Page, too. Indeed, spread the Cillian love! He deserves it! Oh, and I just wanted to add Toni Collette to my list. I first saw her in The Sixth Sense and thought that she was amazing. She's so subtle in her acting but so good! She's also quite good in the romantic comedy, In Her Shoes. I was quite skeptical about it, being a Cameron Diaz movie and all, but the movie itself was really good!

^ Rukia, I saw In Her Shoes a few years ago, on a whim with friends, it was rented, I knew nothing about it, the beginning was sort of sad, I was confused but it ended up being a great film and I fell in love with Toni Collette hardcore. She's beautiful and a stunning actress, I just love her!

Kirsten Dunst jake Gyllenhaal Heath (of course)
Matthew Goode - just realized I like him a lot!

I kinda like William Fichtner. He was in movies like Contact, The Perfect Strom, and Armageddon, and also most recently he had a little part in The Dark Knight.
