Exciting news regarding Cillian's next movie has come up!
Reportedly, Cillian, along with Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page, is in talks to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's next film, Inception. The movie's apparently a sci-fi picture and supposedly a mind-screw sort of thing. I am excited Nolan's directing this; he's so incredible, not just for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but for all of his other movies too. If Cillian is in this, I have even more reason to see this! ;D

Thanks, Kizuna! This is really exciting news! I've been wondering what Cillian will be up to next. I love Christopher Nolan. He's such an innovative director and comes up with great stories, too. I really liked Memento. I really love the cast for this upcoming movie. I like Ellen. (Ellen gets to be Cillian's co-star again?! Sigh, some girls have all the luck!  ) I like Marion even though I've only seen her in La Vie En Rose (she was awesome). Of course, I love the fact that Cillian's in it.  I wonder if Cillian and Marion will talk to each other in French on the set... sorry, random thought. If this really all goes through, Cillian seems to be a favorite of Nolan's, eh? Move over Christian Bale! Haha, just kidding.  Cillian's not going to be the main role, though, huh? Leo DiCaprio is supposedly the lead role. Darn.  I like him and all as an actor, but I just never really got into him, so I'm not all that excited. I hope we'll know what Inception's all about soon! I wonder if Nolan will cast more people? Too bad no James Franco, but I could think of a number of other people I would want to be in it. Hmm, like Emily Blunt, Naomi Watts, Ed Norton, Rachel McAdams... |

Leo D, huh? I hope they're bumping him in favor of Cillian as the star, because this article by Empire Magazine www.empireonline.com/news/story.asp?NID=24511 seems to assume that cillian is up for the main part and makes no mention of Leo D at all. if this is true this would be SO AMAZING. honestly, it's been AGES since i've been this excited about a new film project cillian's signed up for. stellar cast of course, i've been a fan of Page ever since Hard Candy and can't wait to see Peac*ck too. Cotilliard is not on my list of "really annoying actresses", which is a surprisingly long list, so that's rare and great! and Nolan is one of my favorite directors. His movies usually lean heavily on a male cast, with maybe one or two minor roles for the women, but i'm glad he's cast both Page and Cotilliard in this. Maybe he's working on that gender imbalance thing, finally. Yay! good news all around |

Oh. My. GOD.
Hold on... gotta catch my breath... I am SO excited that Cillian might be getting to work with Chris Nolan. This is exactly the kind of project Cillian needs right now - something that's big and yet doesn't compromise his principles of choosing good scripts. Nolan's films are so smart, so stylish, so well put together, that this just about cannot go wrong. Memento is literally one of my favorite movies ever, and I love The Prestige as well. The thought of Cillian potentially starring in one of Nolan's films (move over, DiCaprio!!) has me so jazzed I can hardly put it into words. This is precisely the sort of movie I have always wanted Cillian to do - and this is what might finally catapult him into genuine A-List stardom. WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Agreed, Pisces. I hope this movie will be the big breakthrough for Cillian. I'm really excited, too! Unfortunately, I don't know if Cillian will be in the lead role. I really, really hope so, but I doubt it. They probably want somebody more well-known like Leo to headline the movie. Maybe they'll have 2 lead roles like what they did for The Prestige with Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale? I'd settle for Cillian to be in a supporting role though... as long as it is a substantial, memorable, strong role. |

went back to Empire's site recently, i think Leo is definitely attached as the star in this, which the article fails to mention. I guess Cillian's up for a supporting role. I knew it was too good to be true that Cillian would star! I don't think he's ever starred in anything major Hollywood-Blockbustery. Oh well, this is still good.

Update on Inception! I don't know how reliable this is, but supposedly, Marion's cast as Leo's wife, and Ellen's cast as Leo's sidekick. Go here. Darn, no Marion/Cillian pairing, I guess! I hope we get more info on this film soon! |

Sorry to double post. More news on Inception. I don't know how accurate this is, but supposedly, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Caine have joined the cast. "Word is, DiCaprio will be playing a big-time CEO. Page will be playing a student and his assistant with Gordon-Levitt’s character also working for him. Cotillard will be playing DiCaprio’s wife in the movie, and Murphy’s role is not yet known." SourceI wonder if this completes the cast for the movie? Or will Nolan be recruiting others? |

I saw an article that said that there might be a spot for Michael Caine in Inception - Caine is a favorite of Chris Nolan's. His casting was supposed to be made official a week or two ago, but I have seen nothing since. That's all I have to add! |

cillian's role...unknown? looks like they have all the good guys lined up - Ellen the sidekick, Leo the main character, Marion the wifey...i'm thinking Cillian is playing another villain at this point?

Just like to add that Marion, Cillian, Ellen, and Joseph are no longer under "rumored" status on the Inception IMDB cast listings. I don't know if that really means that it's set in stone  , but it's still exciting! I hope they'll start shooting soon, and I hope we'll get more news, too. |

Nope- that's Peac0ck, which is already in post-production. Inception has yet to begin filming, and there is no word yet on what Cillian's role is in it.
