^ Well it did. lol. Okay, I found it, but my scanner doesn't work. I did buy 2 extra copies. I got a discount, so they're $3.59 each, plus shipping & handling. U.S. would probably be around $1.75 S&H first class, $4.50 for Priority Mail. I have no idea as far as international shipping. In the past I've been able to cash international money orders. If anyone would like a copy of the magazine, let me know, through IM please. ^I would! But I can't get anymore things from people in the mail. The rents are watching my mail I was looking for it at Borders, but I was a bit self conscious, looking for a gay mag. I didn't find it, but I didn't look extremely close

I can understand why some people would be uncomfortable looking for it or buying it in stores. I also understand about parents wanting to be careful what their kids (of any age) read or watch. I'm sure someone will be able to scan it eventually. There's nothing in the article itself that should upset most readers, except possibly for language, but we've seen Cillian use the same four-letter words in other interviews, so that shouldn't be too shocking. The rest of the magazine, however, may contain some things that would make people uncomfortable. I'm pretty much the token straight person among most of my friends and acquaintances, so it's not likely there would be anything in there that I haven't heard of before, or would shock me.

Its just that if my parents find out I got another package from someone they don't know, I'm dead Its not so much the shock factor, as the fact that I'd rather not be caught looking for a gay mag by people I don't know. I'm overly self conscious, I guess.

I was very self-conscious about things like that, too. It took a while to get over it, but now it's pretty rare for anything to shock me. I can understand parents being concerned about unknown people sending things through the mail. I'm of parental age myself (technically grandparental age, ouch!), and I'm starting to see things more and more from that perspective. For instance, today I was forced to listen to a teenager sitting next to me, b*tching on her cellphone to someone for the better part of a half-hour bus ride, and I found myself not only wishing she'd shut the hell up, but agreeing with the "horribly unfair" stuff her mother had said to her. I kept my opinion to myself, however.

Hahah, I love it when people do that. Just listen in and its hours of amusement I understand why parents are like that (I'm not the type to scream 'you don't understand'.. I know they do), but sometimes, when you know the full story and don't want to tell them, it does look odd. They've already googled Aurora So, for my own safety inside my house, I'll wait for the scan

I'm going to see if I can find the magazine today, so if I do I will most certainly scan it this afternoon for everyone. Wish me luck!

The store I went to gets their magazines next week, so I won't have it until well Thursday morning. I have them holding copies for me ^*wink, wink* If someone hasn't already scanned it by then, I'll most definitely post it. Damn store, how dare they delay Cillian!

If I had a scanner I could scan it. However...technologically challenged, here.

It's a very short article. Most of the first page is the pic of Cillian, then there's a full-page ad, then a fairly large pic of Kitten from the end of the film, looking very feminine and gorgeous, and a quote from the article. The rest of the article is two columns, about half a page, with the third column taken up with an ad. So the actual article itself is less than one full page. Most of it is stuff we've read in other articles. These are the quotes from Cillian: "The thing is," says Murphy, "men have the same products; they just have a different name. They call it scrub instead of exfoliator." "It became clear to me how transvestites would develop that quick wit," says the 29-year-old actor. "You get shouted at on the f***ing street all the time. How the f*** are you that clever that quickly? Because you have to be." He adds, "Kitten is so fundamentally good. All she's looking for is to be loved and accepted. When I was out with those people, I found they didn't want to change the world, they just wanted to look pretty. It's that simple." The rest of the article is pretty basic info about the background for the movie. One more item of interest: Murphy's a huge fan of music -- most of his friends are musicians -- and he gets more jazzed meeting artists like Stevie Wonder than meeting movie stars. And he's always writing songs; Murphy was thrilled to record songs in the studio with (Gavin) Friday and to be involved in a movie soaked in vintage pop tunes. He also absorbed the world of London transvestites by going clubbing with a group of them.

I work at a university, so The Advocate is always available to read in the library. Unfortunately, you can't take it out of the library (to scan). But I read the article...he talks mostly about what transvestites are really about. And there are 2 pics. One is the pic of Kitten in the spotted dress with blonde hair, sitting on the couch (yeah, we've all seen that one). The other must have been taken at the TIFF because Cill is wearing the same white t-shirt, dark grey sweater, and black jeans. He's squatting under a tree and looking just as adorable as ever. Just thought I'd share until someone scans the goods.

"Murphy's a huge fan of music -- most of his friends are musicians -- and he gets more jazzed meeting artists like Stevie Wonder than meeting movie stars. And he's always writing songs; "
so cil's still very actively into music.. writing songs still, eh? I wonder when he gets to play them.. is it known if he still perform in his old band? or a new one even? it must have been a blast for him to be in a film where music plays such a big part.
completely radom, but it came to mind hearing he's still in contact with a lot of musician (friends). his wife is an artist.. does anyone know which type of artist? musician by any chance?
