Silly me. how could I not mention Disco Pigs. You should see this one first. This is a very young Cillian in a flawless performance. Beautiful, painful, heartbreaking. I cried at the end. This and BOP are the only Murphy films that made me weep. Will certainly bear what you've said there in mind Seabreeze. I must say I think that one sounds like one of the most interesting film projects he's ever been involved with. I've heard some very good things about it, as I have also BOP. They're definitely both high on my list of must see films!

Disco Pigs is an awesome film. I think the stand out performance of his career so far. Not sure exactly why I dislike WTD so much, though I think Lucy Lui is a horrible actress - so brittle and just unlikeable. Nothing for it, I suppose, than to go and track down BOP. If I don't like it someone's in trouble...

Have to say the only other thing I've seen Lucy Liu in, so far, is Kill Bill. And in that I have to say she came across to me as being pretty over rated - though then again it's a little early for me to reach assumptions seeing as I've only seen her in two films so far. (there was a point I thought the same about Keira Knightley, until I saw her in the Pirates of the Carribean films and The Duchess) And then again, I wasn't too impressed with Kill Bill overall anyway - though did enjoy some of the fight scenes alot. Definitely though, when it comes to oriental actresses, there are others who's performances I feel do stand out much more than hers. Even though in WTD I did find her performance pretty funny.

Run don't walk to Gumshoe Videos. <---- LOL Yes I agree, BOP and Disco Pigs are really stand out performances! They really are probably his biggest must see roles. While you are at it pick up a copy of She Gorilla. lol

How sad is this: I'd seen "She Gorilla" before WTD came out...!
I love WTD. At times it comes close to crossing the line between clever and cruel, but, by and large, it's a dandy old-fashioned screwball comedy. A perfect summer film-- the kind that would have been a June "programmer" in the Thirties. Paul Soter just nailed geek film culture. In the minority here, but I really like Lucy Liu, too. And "Kill Bill"....

Disco Pigs is AMAZING. WTD, meh,not my kind of movie typically but worth seeing just for Cillian. Normally I can take or leave Lucy Liu and I LOVED Kill Bill, but she completely got on my nerves in WTD. I was pulling for Neil to dump her demented ass. Hey- this has gone way off topic, huh? maybe we should move it to another thread.
