It is too bad that such gorgeous footage of him is caught in such a bad way. I would be pissed too. Funny he seems to be pretty much left alone from what it sounds like in London maybe they just have more respect for their celebrities. He should follow those dudes home and then film them. lol Love the pictures Razz, I've seen that first one before but not that huge it took my breath away.

Love all of these pictures! Oldies but goodies! God, that paparazzi video of Cillian jogging was just soo painful to watch! I felt so bad for Cillian! I wouldn't know what to do if I were in his position. God, you just can't ignore those damn paps, huh?

[/img]
Funny this one has been put up here. As it occurred to me just earlier on today that there were a bunch of these one's (as a pretty recent photo shoot) up on the Cillian site - which now aren't there any longer! I know Melty Girl is one of the people in charge of that site. I wonder if she knows why they were taken down... Anyways, fantastic selection there guys! I have seen some of those before - but I never get bored of looking at Cillian regardless of whether it's old or recent pics. And of course it's great to continue to see some which I've never seen before too. Great job there!

You know, I sort of agree with Seabreeze. I thought the video made him look a bit silly. Paps may be a pain in the arse, but it seems to go with job. I wish he'd just carried on running in dignified silence.
I read trashy magazines pretty regularly and I can't remember the last time I saw a pic of Cillian in them, so it doesn't seem like he is hounded by paps night and day.
Ah well, just my thoughts. I know many of you won't agree!

I know many of you won't agree! I do agree that if when it comes to anyone making the decision to get into that line of work, and aiming towards becoming a well known in their field, then being followed around by the paparazzi from time to time is one of those things that they can't realistically expect to avoid all the time. But then again, I can also understand why after so long it's bound to be one of those things that would also grate on your nerves and get to be a pain in the arse after so long. Especially if he's often followed around first thing in the morning (looked to me as if that might have been an early morning jog he was going for to clear his head, though then again that's just a guess!) And he probably has to put up with all that alot more out in LA than he does over here - at least that's the impression I get anyways.

Seabreeze, seriously, SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP.
Anyway, it looks like those paps were stalking him all morning. They didn't just take a couple pics and were done with it; they looked like they were following and hounding Cillian all the time he was jogging. I remember watching this special on VH1 (before it became infested with reality shows) talking about the paparazzi and celebrities, and it was really disgusting to watch how those people have absolutely no regard for other's personal space. Sure Cillian doesn't have it as bad as say, Britney Spears, but when you're being hounded by photographers as you go about your daily business, I don't blame him for being pissed.

Gosh golly wow-- I'm thinking that, yes, if he'd given them a nod and a wave, they would have let him go. You turn it into a game-- or what they perceive as a game--you change course, you try to run away, you (God forbid) try to hide-- and they're going to give chase. The pack mentality kicks in, and the next thing you know, you're the fox and they're the hounds, and they're baying and nipping at your heels. And they're not being nice about it. If he'd given them a nod and a wave right up front, there's about a ninety percent chance that Short-Attention-Span-Theater Syndrome would have kicked in. They would have logged their clip with the home office and moved on to their next target. Just saying. I'm pre-seated and already not speaking, as I'm typing and not dictating, so may I ask to be excused and leave it at that?

Kizuna, ignore the troll. She's just trying to ruin the thread. Take no notice! It's not worth the time nor the energy! Just chat along with the rest of us friendly folk on here!

Kizuna, ignore the troll. She's just trying to ruin the thread. Take no notice! It's not worth the time nor the energy! Just chat along with the rest of us friendly folk on here! I agree! My view- There is no way we can figure out how long Cillian had been jogging, how much he'd been sweating, how many hairs were stuck to his head or anything else. We don't know the full story so we should stop presuming. All we saw was a 1 minute video. How is that supposed to give us a realistic idea of how long they were following him? But to me it looked like quite a while and whatever they were gonna say to him at the end of the end of the video didn't seem very nice. Yes, maybe he should've just ignored them or just smiled but it's easy to say that when you're not in his position. He coulda been having a bad day(and yes Seabreeze before you jump on that and accuse him of being up himself and saying that he should be grateful and whatever else you're thinking of i'm sure you have those too) and i'm sure we all know what's that like and can imagine that being followed by some strangers when you're just wanting some space isn't the best cure. In hindsight maybe when he got home he thought the same thing "I shoulda just ignored them" but people make mistakes and make silly decisions. And also Seabreeze he may be from Cork but he hasn't lived there in a while and his accent is bound to be influenced by all the time he spends in America and London. It still sounded Irish to me. I know even my accent doesn't sound very Irish anymore because of all the American and British tv i watch. You always accuse Cillian of a lot of things in your posts. Did you ever stop to re-read your posts and see what you come across as, because it's not a very good impression you give off. You seem very judgemental and accusatory and even jealous most of them time. Why not just give it a rest and give Cillian a break? EDIT: And i'm sure Cillian knows he's not an A-list acotr and i'm prety happy that he's not. If he one day becomes one i'll be behind him but for now he seems happy to do his indie roles and i love him for that. Johnny Depp went big and now everyone raves about his performances when his old indie flicks were some of the best he gave but no-one even cares about them now.

For anyone who's interested, this is another pic that was fairly recently put up on the Cillian site. It's not exactly new, but was taken as recently as 2008. It's one of him with the band Radiohead. As I've not seen it on this site just yet, I thought again I'd include a link for the benefit of anyone who might have missed it www.cilliansite.com/gallery/public/cat-power-2008Further edit: EDIT: Johnny Depp went big and now everyone raves about his performances when his old indie flicks were some of the best he gave but no-one even cares about them now. I know what you mean there Razz. It is indeed a shame me thinks when people discount the early work of an actor, and only show recognition/appreciation for their later work. Often their early stuff can turn out to be just as good - even better - than some of their later works. (incidentally I think Nicole Kidman is a pretty good example of that, to this day I much prefer her peformances in Bangkok Hilton and Dead Calm to some of her more recent stuff - though do like watching her in pretty much whatever I see her in) And Johnny Depp certainly gave some terrific early performances in his career, as well as with later work! It's certainly a pity that happened with him.

Seabreeze: Sure, criticize away, and sound like a biatch doing it. Honestly, all I've ever seen you post here are all of these negative comments, acting like you're all high-and-mighty because you think you see "the real picture" and the rest of us are deluded little fangirls. Really, if you're such a fan, why do you always feel the need to be a complete downer, dragging everything down? I'm agreeing with emma and the others - you are a troll, and this conversation is over. Anyway, back on topic... I'll post a few pics.
