Giving you a CB, too, Mitzi, because I just love your site! And you always have great 'new' old Cillian pics. Thanks. I believe the cowboy picture is from The Way We Live Now. I think?

Well at any rate, this Saturday just gone I ended up purchasing both 28 Days Later (along with it's sequel for a pretty good price) on dvd along with Watching the Detectives - as unexpectedly came across all three in a small HMV branch that I don't usually visit. ;D I ended up putting 28 Days Later on that night - at something like around 3 am and found it to be even better than I remembered. It seriously put the chills up me more than once (despite me having already seen it before when it first came out on dvd). Especially as it was very quiet and dark in the house where I was at the time and it really got my imagination working overtime (lol!) but somehow I just couldn't tear myself away. I was glued all the way through to the end - and of course I thought Cillian was absolutely fantastic in it. I had to wait until the following day (while it was daylight) to sit though the sequel though - as felt I couldn't quite face 2 horror movies like that in a row at that time of morning. Have to say I enjoyed the sequel pretty well too - but still preferred the first film by quite a bit. Still haven't quite gotten around to seeing "Watching the Detectives" quite yet, but am planning on watching it at some point this afternoon. Am very much looking forward to it.

I liked 28 Weeks Later too but it isn't as good as the first one. And no not just because of Cillian, the first one is just a better movie in general! Let us know what you think of Watching the Detectives! I really like that movie I don't see why some people are so hard on it.

Let us know what you think of Watching the Detectives! I really like that movie I don't see why some people are so hard on it. Agreeing with you on 28 Weeks Later. Have to admit before putting it on I couldn't help feeling there was a strong liklihood it would turn out to be total pants. But was pleasantly surprised. It turned out to be much better than I was expecting it to be. Although at the same time, I do still prefer the first film for just the same reasons you do. I really liked Watching the Detectives Many thanks again for recommending it before! I'm glad I picked it up. Admittedly, storyline wise, there are other comedy films of it's type that I do prefer. But all in all I thought it was a pretty good film with some truly originally funny moments. And thought both Cillian and Lucy Liu played their characters very well. I especially loved those scenes where Violet keeps playing those tricks on Neil. As with the scene she gets those two guys she knows to pretend to be police detectives, interrogating Neil in the office of the video store. And also when Neil keeps getting paranoid over every bald guy he see's, when he thinks Violet is being stalked. I thought those were brilliantly done. All in all I found it to be a very entertaining and enjoyable film!
