If you were a movie director who were thinking of casting Cillian in a film what kind of film would it be? What kind of character would you like to see Cillian play in it? And who else would you think about casting in it? Let your imagination flow guys!

Awww I've always dreamed to be a director to shoot a classic novel on screen. Since I'm totally in love with the Picture of Dorian Gray, Cillian would definitely be Dorian! And for Lord Henry, Tom Hollander (Lord Cutler Beckett in Pirates of the Caribbean) would be perfect. Christina Ricci for Sybil, and Basil would be... Mmmh I don't know. Someone like Adrien Brody or something. What do you think?

Great topic Emma! Well seeing as this is my fantasy world and I like to give him what he wants, I would have to give him the great cowboy role he's been wanting. Storyline I'm not sure about, I didn't get much sleep last night so I'm not feeling too creative but I know it has to have something a-typical about it to really grab his attention. Only co-star I can think of right now is Sam Elliott. The man IS a damn old west cowboy trapped in modern times.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... CILLIAN FOR OTACON IN A METAL GEAR SOLID MOVIE!! And either Christian Bale, Sam Worthington or Michael Trucco for Solid Snake, Bill Nighty as Revolver Ocelot, Donald Sutherland as Big Boss/Solidus Snake, Chris Cooper as Colonel Campbell and Evan Rachel Wood as Meryl.

I still want to see him in a romantic comedy. It's cheesy but it would be a different role for him. I think I've cast him as a vampire in all my fantasies. LOL. He would be perfect, with those eyes and complexion.

I'd like to see him in a role like James McAvoy's in Wanted. Action movie with lots of guns and stuff lol. Also, a proper comedy. He was great and so funny in Watching The Detectives, but the movie itself was lackluster. Another sci-fi movie too!

Hehe oh behave!! yeah, for some reason I think ( I could have sworn it was brought up somewhere before) But Cillian has the features for a perfect Lestat. The eyes, cheekbones, I could go on and on. And he is so talented that I could really see him immersing himself in the role....*sigh*

An espionage/action/thriller would be incredible with him as the leading secret agent spy man.
It would be great to see Cillian acting the part of an undercover spy, kicking behind and taking names and constantly creating a new cover for himself while sneaking around and stealing computer files and information to stop a terrorist from setting off a bomb or something or other.
I'd love to see Cillian the spy! ;D

Great thread, Emma! I don't know why I didn't respond sooner. I'd like to see Cillian in a contemporary, psychological, sex thriller. Maybe along the lines of Fatal Attraction, Basic Instinct, Single White Female? I'd cast any of the following actresses opposite Cillian: Rachel McAdams (no surprise here), Kate Winslet, Eva Green, Emily Blunt, Naomi Watts, or Maggie Gyllenhaal (heh, wink ).

Glad you agree, Larvalee! Cillian definitely needs to be in hotter movies! And I agree that Cillian should try his hand at a comedy again. He definitely showed potential in WTD although the movie itself was mediocre. Maybe something along the lines of Judd Apatow's comedies? I'd love to see him work with Paul Rudd! He'd also be awesome with Simon Pegg in something like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Or if he'd prefer more darker comedies, I'd cast in a Coen Brothers-type movie. He'd rock!

Yes he does! I think he should do dark comedy too, I remember he said he loves dark comedies so I'm sure he would love to be in one.
