LOL, I don't actually dislike Ewan, it's just that I wouldn't sit through a bad movie just to see him (unlike Cillian and WTD). I know, I know - I am in the minority when it comes to WTD. I like the Long Way Round too, especially Charley Boorman. Ewan is also excellent in Shallow Grave, another Danny Boyle film, which also features someone hacking off limbs. Which rather neatly brings this back on topic! I understand!  Shallow Grave is a brilliant film! Great ending. ;D I love him and his comment about kinds in it too! If Cillian wasn't going to play the lead role in this i think Ben Whishaw would do a great job. He was class in Perfume: A Story of a Murderer and there's some scenes in it where he doesn't talk at all. There's something about that man's eyes. He can convey so much with them. They're so strong. |

I just saw this as well. As soon as I saw the title, "James Franco Will Saw Off His Own Arm," I was like, "They're not talking about that one Danny Boyle movie are they?"  Oh well. I'm not exactly disappointed. Maybe because I was thinking it was a rumor about Cillian all along. I do hope Cillian has some other projects lined up though! |

Drat.  Would have been so great if Cillian played this part but I will still go see the movie anyway because I think the story is interesting and I want to see if they call pull off having basically one character through the whole movie. |

Have to say I am disappointed to learn that Cillian won't be in that part after all - but at the same time not really too surprised to find out that it was just a rumour. I may also still check the movie out though - as also think it sounds interesting. At the same time though, really hoping it's not long before further (and reliable) news is released on Cillian's upcoming projects for this year. |

Well i am disappointed Cillian won't be in it as i'm sure he could've pulled it off no bother. Then again Franco is proving he's a great actor too in films like Milk and Pineapple Express. I've been a fan of his since i saw him in Freaks and Geeks years ago. His character is one of my favourite tv show characters ever- though pretty much all the characters in that show are pure genius! So i will definitely still be seeing this film.  |
