Started for Kim! Any other fans of Joseph here? I'm a fairly new fan. I mean, I've heard of him before, but only started liking him recently. 500 Days of Summer did it for me. So far, I've seen: 10 Things I Hate About You (who hasn't? Classic teen movie), 500 Days of Summer, Brick, The Lookout, and most recently, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (LOL).

Aw thanks Rukia(sorry i don't know if you ever told me your name? ) I'll have to give you another CB for this. I also replied in the "If you could have your pick of men' thread with a big overdose of Jo. Take a look. You should definitely check out Mysterious Skin and Manic. Although maybe read some reviews and watch the trailers of Mysterious Skin first because it deals with some sensitive issues and a lot of people find it too disturbing to watch. But it is actually a really beautifully made an thereal film and Joseph and Brady both give outstanding performance. Did you ever see him in 3rd Rock from the sun? I loved that show, i've been a fan of his since then. I can't wait for Hesher to come out. Looks like another quirky Joseph venture to look forward to.

Rukia's fine. I've been wanting to watch Mysterious Skin, but I just can't seem to find it. I've looked up on it before, and yes, it sounds like it might be hard to watch, but I don't want to miss out on his performance! Manic was when he first worked with Zooey, right? I'll have to check that out as well. Yeah, I knew he was in 3rd Rock From the Sun, but I just never really got into the show. *shrugs* I have Stop-Loss up next for me to watch. Have you seen it?

I'm half a fan, working my way there... I recently saw 500 Days of Summer and got rather curious about him. After some imdb + wiki research, I saw Mysterious Skin, and wow...what a performance. I always love an actor who's willing to take up roles dealing with such heavy issues, AND do such a good job with these roles. I love independent films; Hollywood is simply too overrated. (That's probably one of the reasons why I love Cillian so much...because he selects his roles so well.)

No i haven't seen Stop Loss. I haven't really heard much good about it. His fans weren't too happy about his choice with that movie but i'd still like to check it out sometime. If you see it let me know what you think of it. I want to see Uncertainty but i don't think it's been released yet. I've been looking it up but i can't find it anywhere so i don't know if it's getting a cinema release or what.... And i also want to see Killshot. I got Mysterious Skin on Amazon. I'm sure you'd find it there. It's one of my favourite films. The first time i watched it i thought it was good but the weirder scenes kind of stuck in my head too much. Then i watched it again and it's just a stunning film. The last scene is so beautiful and i always end up crying.

Aww, I've only see snippets of this dance! Thanks for this! I love Zooey and Joseph together -- they're adorable! Such great chemistry. He was on Saturday Night Live recently. Did you see it? The overall episode was mediocre, but I loved his opening monologue SO much! He's so funny, and he did flips! WOW! Here's the link to the video: JGL SNL Monologue. Enjoy! Here are some of the promo pics. Indeed, he's quite a dancer/acrobat! ;D P.S. I'll be sure to let you know what I think of Stop-Loss. I agree; it doesn't look all that stellar, and it looks more like Ryan Phillippe's movie. *shrugs* It can't be as bad as G.I. Joe. Have you seen it? The whole movie was a bit of joke to me. LOL. I don't want to own Mysterious Skin. It's not at any of my libraries. It's probably at one of the rental stores.

Your welcome. I love that video. No i didn't see him on SNL, i don't think it's on any of the Irish or English channels- as far as i know. I just watched that video. He;'s so good at doing all those filps and things. I wonder did he do gymnastics or something. I tried going to the watchsaturdaynight.net to watch the full episode but there's a stupid survey thing you have to fill out before watching and my McAfee site advisor is saying it's not safe so i can't do it and therefore can't watch the episode. Did he do much else on the show that was funny/worth seeing? No i haven't seen G.I Joe, it's the only film he's done that i have absolutely no inclination to see at all! I couldn't believe it when i heard he was involved. I thought it was probably wrong. I might watch it someday if it's on tv and there's nothing else to watch! Thanks for the pictures. They're really cool. ;D Hope you find Mysterious Skin somewhere, although Manic is just as impressive-in Jo's performance anyway. I don't know how likely it is that you'd find Mysterious Skin in a rental store......If only Gumshoe video was real!

Yeah, I was wondering if SNL is a common show to watch in Ireland. Anyway, his episode wasn't the greatest, but it's not his fault though. The writing on SNL kinda sucks now; it's a hit or miss really now. Joseph did the best he could with the material he had. Here's a link to the full episode: JGL SNL Episode. Let me know if the link works for you. The network only has the video online until 1/17/10 if you want to watch it. Eh, you weren't missing out on much with G.I. Joe. LOL. I just watched it because somebody I knew happened to have it. I can't believe Joseph was even in it. The movie was a joke. He probably thought so, too, because I don't even think he promoted the movie over the summer with the rest of the cast. I hope to find Mysterious Skin and Manic! Even Manic's proving hard for me to find. I'm sure Gumshoe Video would have it in stock.

Thanks for the link i'll try and check it out soon when i have time to watch it all. I saw as well that there was an episode with James Franco and Muse! Muse are one of my all time favourite bands and i love Franco....Wish the show was on in Ireland. Good luck finding the movies, let me know if you get to see any of them. Come to think of it you may be able to find Mysterious Skin on Youtube....I'm not sure if i saw it there before.

Hi, Kim! Did you ever get around to watching Joseph on that SNL episode? I haven't watched the one with James Franco and Muse either. I love them also as well. ;D Oh, I just watched Stop-Loss recently. It actually wasn't all that bad. It's not 'great' or anything, but it's watchable even though it was predictable. Joseph did well with what he had. It was more of Ryan Phillippe's movie though, of course. I enjoyed it better than G.I. Joe, LOL. I still don't know why Joseph did G.I. Joe.

Oh no i completely forgot about it! Is it worth watching it just for his part? I just bought Stop Loss the other day because i saw it for really cheap. I haven't watched it yet though. I'm not expecting anything amazing from it and i know it's mostly Ryan's story but i still wanna see it. I'll let you know what i think of it when i watch it.

There's an option of just watching Joseph's parts on the SNL episode, right? Like skipping the other skits? I think you should if you can do that. Let me know what you think of Stop-Loss! It's not too bad really. I think Joseph did really well with what he had to work with.

haha I remember seeing him as a kid in stuff like Angels in the Outfield and Halloween H20 and always liking him but I kind of forgot about him until a few years ago, when he did things like Mysterious Skin and Brick. I really started liking him a lot as an actor when he did The Lookout. I think he's a really good actor who has made a lot of good film choices. 500 Days of Summer was a great movie too!
