Mrs-N-Uzumaki: That's so funny. Who knows? It might be fun to go and see Johnny with your Mom the next time he's in town. Zombiekitten: So far, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" has been the only movie I've seen on 3D. I had fun watching it, though, despite the fact that I had to wear the 3D glasses over my prescription glasses (I don't even know if that was against the cinema rules on taking care of the 3D glasses). It was a little difficult for my eyes to adjust at first, considering that I have bad eyesight. I watched the movie near the back of the cinema, at the balcony section (or bleachers), so there was considerable distance between my seat and the screen. I do agree with what you said that the brain recognizes depth even when you watch a 2D movie . It's just that I enjoyed the thrill I felt whenever stuff seemed to jump out of the screen, and it was a different viewing experience for me seeing people onscreen in 3D. Johnny looked pretty good to me like that. I guess I got carried away since I just saw the "Pirates" movie just before I posted, and I thought it was fun. I actually have no preference whether a movie is in 3D or not, in fact, I'll watch a movie anywhere, whether in cinemas, on TV or on my laptop. It's just that I enjoyed my first ever 3D experience, and I would love to watch Cillian in 3D, if given the chance (even if "Tron" isn't exactly my cup of tea). I know what I posted before made it sound like I preferred 3D, but it was just a suggestion that I typed at the spur of the moment. I still meant what I posted, though. I know there will always be differences of opinion in a forum. I just wanted to clarify that I like 3D, but I don't really prefer it over any other form of motion picture. I'll watch any movie if I felt that the experience was worth it. P.S. What about James Cameron's "Avatar"? Was that an intellectual film? I never finished watching the movie. On-topic: I think Cillian should keep on acting and never lose faith in the craft. (I really can't think of anything brilliant to suggest right now. ;D)

Yeah, Impeachy, I have to admit you're right. 3D is indeed a fun and stunning experience and a change from normal movies. I don't mind if you prefer 3D or not, Impeachy. You don't have to explain yourself for liking 3D. I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable by saying my personal opinion about this. It's absolutely okay to have different opinions. So don't worry. And maybe in the future 3D will be that great and perfect that I will be absolutely stunned by it ! It's already today stunning what they can achieve with technique. To stay with the topic too Cillian should come over to the European continent (Germany or Switzerland for example XD) to perform a play here !!!

Oh Zombiekittens that is a great idea but I am going to change the European continent to the West Coast of the US for a play!! The US in general would be go at least. There would be a much better chance of seeing him in a play that way!

I have no problem with that...I was thinking you probably look at (as in visualize) things differently, since you're an artist. I understand where you're coming from. It's just that when it comes to things I'm not good at, I tend to be easy to please (like cooking: I can't distinguish flavors that much. I'd say a dish is good or I'd eat it as long as it doesn't taste bad. LOL.) I was having second thoughts about explaining myself, because I was taking such a defensive stance. I don't know...there are times when I'm at a loss for words and there are times when I just have to say what I think, or else I won't be able to sleep at night. LOL. It doesn't mean that I'm offended or anything, though. I just want to express myself, the same thing you were probably doing. Anyway, thanks for being so sweet about it. *hugs* ;D Okay, back on track: I'll take a cue from you girls and say that Cillian should DEFINITELY visit Asia. Yay! ;D

I meant to get in on this 3D discussion a while back but couldn't remember which thread it was in. LOL. So far, I have only seen two movies in 3D - Tron: Legacy and Jackass 3. And truthfully, I still don't have much of an opinion on it. The use of 3D was largely unneeded in Jackass 3, except for some... interesting... shots that were made grosser and funnier for the fact that you felt an urge to duck the objects that were coming at you. So in that respect, I enjoyed it. With Tron, I suppose it added a little extra OOMPH to those grid effects, but after a half hour or so, I adjusted my eyes and brain to the 3D effect and started to not notice it. So by that point, it wasn't doing anything for me. The best moment for me was when everything first became 3D - that "WOW, COOL!" moment. Kind of like when I was a kid and first looked through my View-Master. But, that novel feeling wears off quickly. Zombie, everything you said was spot-on, as far as I'm concerned, and I never had thought that deeply about it. But I agree that when we are watching a regular "2D" movie, we automatically make that optical/mental adjustment that's necessary, and sometimes 3D can seem like overkill. Anyway, I guess I'm not a fan nor a detractor of 3D- I won't likely encounter it often, because my tastes don't run toward the type of movies that are most often filmed in 3D. LOL. I like my dramas and thrillers, I do.

Hya Tonny! What films have you seen? We can recomend you stuff and he has been busy working on some new films the next out is Retreat and another film "In Time" there's plenty of talk going on here about his work and there's another called "Red Lights" and he's in rehearsals for a play in Galway running this month. Try this site if you already haven't... www.cilliansite.com/ it's very informative and keeps up to date well.

Cillian should star in a movie that'd actually make it to the movie theaters here... and he should do some more songs... I can listen to 'So New' all day long...
Oh, and he should so read a book out loud, you know those CD's you can buy where an actor reads the book out loud? I love his voice so much...

He should star in a tv advert for a male fragance- I could really see him do something for Calvin Klein,Chanel or Hugo boss like Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Jared Leto have done so far. I would get soo excited every time he'd appear on the tv - that would be awesome ;D
And obviously, working with Johnny Depp would be great-they're both phenomenal actors!

I absolutely share your opinion about that! Would be so wonderful. Or imagine a huge advertisment poster with Cillian hanging every where in the city ! All the female car drivers would produce accidents while staring at Cillians beauty. LOL

I think Cillian should...
take Misterman on tour in the US and have a stop in Florida. Orlando would be a great location. He'd be able to occupy himself in between shows with a plethora of great entertainment options - Walt Disney World, Sea World, Animal Kingdom (he seems to like zoos, and this one is the zoo to end them all!), more bars and clubs and musical gigs than anyone would ever need... and a thousand miles of sugar-sand coastline within an hour's drive, no matter which way he goes.
And I would be able to drive a half hour to the show.... numerous times.
See? It's a win-win!! ;D
