Okay, so this film is still in development, and Cillian may not even be in it, but I read that he may be portraying a Belgian writer named Stan Lauryssens. It's a film about artist Salvador Dali from Stan's perspective as far as I can tell and I was too excited not to post this as I love Dali's work. Has anyone else heard about this? Al Pacino is said to have a part as well. There's a little blurb about Cillian possibly playing the part on this page: www.dali-and-i.com/index2.htmlAnd here it is on IMDB, but there's not really any info, so I guess we shall wait and see! www.imdb.com/title/tt0893399/

Why are you saying that he would even not be in the film?Stan L. doenst appear? I can't wait anyway. That's an interesting storyline and Al Pacino/Cillian more that great.

Really? Wow I can't find any information on it. Its page on IMDB gives very little info, there's not even a cast list. That's good to know that he's in it! Do you know where I can find more info on it?

Yes!That is the problem! Now it is for 2011!I can't believe it..I can't understand why.Maybe it is not filmed entirely,I don't know..I'm confused. Thanks for your link!! And you know why??Because of this: June 26, 2009 - "Dali and I" scrapped and "The Cross" is in Dali and I is no more, but on the plus side, Andrew Niccol is working hard on a new film called The Cross with a great cast, which is set to start filming in a couple months, be sure to come back for more news. If it was cancelled, why putting it for 2011 on imdb?I am really confused now!I can tell you! Some links on the filmwww.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/dali-hollywood--and-a-surreal-story-1629337.htmlwww.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2009-05-13-dali-biopics_N.htmBUTOther news..From 2010 Set for a late 2011 releaseWhen I extended the option on Dalí & I: The Surreal Story, I was informed that "Room 9 Entertainment was still waiting for a start date pending Al Pacino's availability". An informant in Spain reports on IMDb that the Mayor of Salvador Dalí's hometown of Cadaqués in Spain has confirmed that Room 9 has been scouting locations in Cadaqués. In an interview on Times Online (London), Cillian Murphy is asked about forthcoming film projects, including Inception and Dalí & I: The Surreal Story starring Al Pacino. Says Cillian Murphy, slated to play "me": "The Salvador Dalí biopic is all up to Pacino. It hasn't started yet. Obviously he hasn't decided." That's rather good news. It's a confirmation that Cillian Murphy and Al Pacino are still "attached" to the project, as they say in movie-speak. Will the movie ever get made? In a November 2010 New York Times and International Herald Tribune interview, Al Pacino is asked if, at this point in his career, he gets better parts in television than in films. AL PACINO: Some of the roles that are challenging are more in theater and TV. In movies, there's a tendency to cast actors in roles that have been successful for them. I had a Salvador Dalí role I liked, but the movie didn't get done. The movie that didn't get done is, of course, Dalí & I: The Surreal Story, based on Stan L's 2008 memoir. To be continued, hopefully ... According to IMDb, the International Movie Data base, Dalí & I: The Surreal Story is still in development and is listed as such on Pacino's web page as well.
