Hello girls and boys, back home again. I’ve spent a bit of a weird time in Ireland ( Dublin / Cork ) coz of the Queen thingy going on, so travelling around was pretty stressful at times.  Kinda exhausting as well, realising I’m not a young bird anymore…  Cork is a lovely city, really liked it there.  On my last day there I’ve found a great vegetarian restaurant, where I’ve been enjoying one of the best salads and cakes in my life. Was very yummy. ;D So, the Cillian event, to be honest, was quite disappointing for me.  Didn’t have the best place in the world, no photos allowed, very late door opening, quite short interview ( time always flies ) , no autograph hour or something afterwards. So chaos was programmed, people running around like nuts, trying to catch poor Cillian, crushing into other folks / cameras, I nearly made it to the floor one time. I’m a shy and quiet person myself, so I hate things like that, so if there had been an autograph hour, this all could have been avoided. Don’t get me wrong, Cillian was truly friendly, natural, funny and soooo adorable – but me thinks the organisation wasn’t that good. Seeing that this probably have been a once in a lifetime experience ( especially in such a small venue ) , so if you were coming a long way from another country and all, you expect a bit more. Dunno, if you folks get me, but I guess some of you might understand my disappointment.  Here are my “best” shots…   ^This could have been an amazing pic, but that girl decided to make the wrong move at the wrong time...   |

Haha sorry, judging from the hair that's me ;D I myself tried to go to him peacefully and quietly, told him I'm sorry for troubling but just wanted to say that blah blah blah. I don't understand the one's hanging from his sleeve, poking him and stuff like that. Or trying to trip other people over |

Jenv - wow, a hug from Cillian. I'm so jealous!! Did you ask him any questions while you were babbling?  That's funny how your head got in the way of Within's pictures, LOL. Within-Sorry you were disappointed, but I understand , a hour isn't that long. Thank you both for sharing your stories. Did any of the forum members meet each other? |

Jenv - wow, a hug from Cillian. I'm so jealous!! Did you ask him any questions while you were babbling? That's funny how your head got in the way of Within's pictures, LOL. Haha no it most certainly wasn't a HUG, but it was like a stretched full arm tap on my back Errmm no I don't think I asked anything, at least not anything worth mentioning. He was just impressed that me and my cousin came from Finland and told me that we're brilliant, not him Anyway, it was so good all in all. He was adorable. And very shy. So it was two shy people trying to talk in a mad crowd... Hah, both of us crouching forwards with our arms folded - if it would've gone on longer we would've ended up squating on the floor ;D |

Jenv were you sitting in the front row on the left? Aha I recognise the hair, if so, you got great seats! Can't wait to see whatever clips you have, I have no idea how long the other corcadorca video will take to surface! And lucky you for getting a half hug I can't remember any of what I said to him and him to me at all Sorry to hear you were slightly disappointed within, but hey at least you got to see him and hear his experiences I didn't actually expect him to stay for any time afterwards at all, so I was pretty happy about that! |

Some more storys !! YAY !! I'm so sorry for you Within that it was so disappointing for you... But those pics are quite nice in my opinion. Cillians eye there, that little glimpse of blue behind all that hair... It has something ! Oh... poor Cillian. All those girls trying to get near to him... But I think it is so sweet that he's a shy person. I'm shy too and I'm always happy when I see someone who shares that characteristic.  |

Was the first one inside actually... fan girl in action I was just looking at the clip I edited last night and wondered if I should download it to YouTube.. Am feeling a bit unsure about it, after all it was against the rules to film in the first place. I meant to put it up on my Facebook and give the link to anyone interested, but of course the clip turned out to be 1140 mb in size, as FB's limit is 1024 mb |

Thanks for sharing the funny stories Razz.......in my life , I also pay close attention to those little coincidences. It's so strange how everything works out, but yes sometimes they can get kinda scary and sort of freaky. Happy 3rd anniversary! Have a CB!! Aw thanks for the CB Disarm. ;D Yeah stuff like that is weird when it happens. What always happens to me is, i mention a certain band or start listening to someone a lot and all of a sudden they start getting loads of radio play or pop up on an ad on tv, even if it's an old band that's not well known. It's really freaky at times. Great to hear all your other stories. Sounds like everyone had a great experience. On the subject of the organisation, i think that's the Irish way coming through. We tend to be pretty laid back when it comes to rigorously organising things like that. We're more af the attitude that "Ah sure, whatever happens, happens." Not exactly a bad way to be- we don't really stress about things. Probably why a lot of us aren't great at the whole time keeping thing either! I've heard in Germany it's much more organised and on top of things and everyone's always on time, so i can see why those things would have annoyed you. Sorry it dampened your time here. I think Cillian probably had a say in that too though, and with the type of person we all know him to be, i'd say he more than likely wouldn't have wanted a signing hour. I think he likes to keep the "celebrity" side of it as low key as possible so he can feel as normal as possible. I doubt he wanted to make a big deal of the whole thing. |

I think it was Kaelyn that said something in her post that you gave him something. That's sweet. Pretty much every time I've seen him, I've given him a CD (or two or several). It's kind of a running joke. Then again, I give CDs to practically everyone I know. Not in a mix-tape "you HAVE to hear this" kind of way-- people can do what they want with the discs-- they're gifts, after all, and they could end up as coasters or returns or re-gifts or skeet-shooting targets (I rarely if ever ask what anyone thought of a Random Gift o' Media)-- but more like a kind of communications shorthand. I know I'm kind of known for being all-words-and-semicolons-all-the-time, but music really cuts through the B.S.-- intellectually as well as emotionally. I had tons of musical training centuries ago; I love the stuff, and I get a hell of a bang out of sharing the music that manages to make a dent in my little black heart. So the disc I gave him this time around was the top half of my Two-Disc Top Ten for 2010. (It was kind of a dry year.) As for what it was... ... that: now, that I won't say. You'd have to rope me in and score a copy of your own.... |
