I dunno if it is the right place to my question, anyway.... I'm looking for a video that was commented on the thread about cillian's photos. The video is about some girls tell him that he has a beautiful hair and he didn't liked it! Can anyone help me? I will be very happy if I can see this video!! Thanks here is the quote from "pisces" Okay... now I know the rumors are crap. LOL.
Anyway, re: contacting Cillian - you are braver than I if you do so, emma. LOL. I know the clip that's being discussed here, and it was a little disappointing to see (and hear) how completely unengaged Cillian was with that fan... of course, she did say about the stupidest thing she could have to him. 'I love your hair'? You are in front of someone that talented, and that is all you can come up with? Not that I don't understand nervous babbling when confronted face-to-face with someone that attractive, but jeez... I would have bitten my tongue till it bled before I would say something so inane to the man. I mean really, what would his response to that be? But yeah, his tone was so dead and just-this-side-of-irritated that I'm surprised the fan didn't burst into tears right there.
While I adore Cillian to extreme levels, I have to admit that if I saw him in public, I would never dream of approaching him. That seems to be the way he likes it. Besides, I might end up like Stan in South Park when Wendy says 'Hi' to him

Never heard about that video! But he did that? I don't know if I'd even want to see it, I have deep respect for Cillian, but it would not surprise me if my mind, which sometimes thinks things I do not want (!), stopped adoring Cillian after seeing that video. You know what I mean? Well done if you can still follow me xD
My mom just told me she read in an interview or something he has a very complicated mind. She doesn't know where she read it anymore(pity!) I can understand he reacts to those girls like this, ofcourse, it's not the best thing to say... but I think if I saw him walking on the street, I would say to him he is an amazing talented actor. I think I would go to him, don't think of my nerves and just talk to him... I would regret it if I didn't I think...

I know what video you're looking for Anitnelav. I looked for it last night but couldn't find it either ... sorry:( I don't think it was that bad. From what I remember- I think he was passing by a crowd of fans at some event. It might of been in Toronto??? I could be totally wrong on that one,lol:/ Some girl in the crowd (I don't even think you see her face) says" I like your hair". Cillian might of just thought "ok, that was random how do I respond to that" I don't think Cillian is use to all that fangirl attention, and he probably never will be. I mean some of the girls in crowds seeing bigger celebrities yell out some crazy sh*t. Like "marry me", "I want you".............. So I think " I like your hair" isn't that big of a deal. That's why if I ever met Cillian I would probably keep my mouth shut because I might say something dumb like .... " I admire your work and I also adore your freckles!!!), haha

I read about that video on here, although I haven't seen it, and I couldn't find it either unfortunately. I just want to share my opinion on the whole idea of it, and this really is just my opinion.
It sounds to me like that fan's comment made Cillian feel either awkward, shy, or like some have already said, unsure of how to respond and so that's how he responded - awkwardly/shyly/uncertain, and it obviously showed in his tone of voice. If he was simply passing by, he could have ignored her comment all together and kept walking, but he didn't do that - he decided to interact with her. I think Cillian is the type of person who sometimes comes across to others as disinterested or rude without meaning to. I remember my first day at a new school, I didn't say much, and everyone thought I was stuck up when really I was just shy. I don't know for a fact that Cillian is shy, he just seems that way to me, so when he's at those kinds of events, it's not so much lack of interest, it's lack of comfort - it's possible that he feels completely out of his element. I don't imagine he acts that way around friends and family. Or maybe he really is disinterested, who knows? He may just see it as an obligation, but I don't think there's anything wrong with that.
That being said, we as fans know very little about Cillian and who he really is as a person. We know he's a fantastic actor, we know he has a wife and kids, and we know what little information he gives in interviews. A lot of fans make the mistake of getting too absorbed in a celebrity's personality/private life, and they end up creating their own version of that celebrity's personality in their own mind to fill in what they don't know. They base it off of what they read in magazines or how that celebrity acts in an interview, and so when they actually meet that celebrity, and they're not the person they "dreamed up", they become disappointed and go as far as not being their fan anymore. Not only that, they expect that celebrity to be extremely outgoing to them. Some celebrities are like that, some are not. Yes, we are adoring fans, but we're also complete strangers. It happened to someone I know, she met the lead singer of a band, and he didn't act the way she expected him to and she got totally turned off by it.
I'm rambling now, but a lot of people do this and end up being disappointed. I'll admit it, I've done this before. I've even probably done it a little with Cillian, but I know that if I ever do meet him (that would be so amazing ;D), I have to shut that off and tell myself not to get my hopes up, because really I'm just another person to Cillian! Just for the record, though, I think Cilly would prefer that a fan said, "You're a great actor, I love your films", as opposed to, "I like your hair, you're so cute!" Cillian is gorgeous, I am very attracted to him, but that has little to do with being his fan, and I wouldn't dream of telling him! Anyway, if you've made it this far, I hope I've made some sense!

yeah, I agree Cait. I go to a lot of events here in Austin and those actors/rock stars feel JUST as awkward as I do when I reach out to talk to them...even if it's just for a few seconds. I doubt Cillian would be rude on purpose...*nods*

I really lack the words to say everything I want! I hate not knowing enough English! I will try my best...
I think his attitude to fame is caused by two factors:
Shyness: in my opinion is evident that Cillian is a shy person and therefore he doesn't like very much appearing in public. From personal experience I know that shy people can be perceived as unfriendly but the reality is we don't know how to behave in certain critical situations.
The other factor (that I really appreciate) is that he works as an actor for the love to this world and not for the fame, so I think he wants to stay out of the fake celebrity scene.
From one side I really admire his reserved character but for the other side I would like to know a little more about him!
I hope you all can understand me
PS: I was curious to see that video TT

After not knowing anything about this til reading this thread I just have to say that whether or not I ever see this actual video it doesn't bother me because I believe, as other people do on here, that Cillian wouldn't ever purposely be rude to anyone. I think I would react the same way if some random person told me they liked my hair. Usually I'm a shy and quiet person and I think Cillian is similar in that way.

I found a video (I guess you already have seen it) where Cillian is on a Photo Call and all the photographers are yelling at him... poor Cillian!! he seems to be very uncomfortable, wich is normal, Do they need to scream like that? ? Here is the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvPHW-8ipm8&feature=related

Yeah i think the photographers are always like that. They all want to get the shot where the actor/singer is looking right into their lens so they all scream instructions.
I love how he corrects the woman who's pronouncing his name wrong. ;D It must be so annoying for him that people so often get his name wrong. I find it very uncomfortable to watch him in that video though, he looks so lost and edgy. I can't imagine standing infront of all those strangers screaming at you and telling you what to do. I don't think i could do it. I'd loose it and probably end up screaming back "SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"

Oh god he looked SO annoyed throughout that entire video, and I don't blame him. I don't think I could handle that myself, I'd be so uncomfortable. It looked like he kept looking to the people on the sides saying, "Okay?" as in, "do they have enough pictures now?" I mean those camera flashes have got to be really bright! I'm asking the same question as Anitnelav, do they really have to SCREAM at him!? That makes me so mad. I'm so glad he corrected that stupid photographer who said his name wrong. He was kind of sassy with her. ;D Good!

That video Ö he looked so annoyed, and I totally agree with him. It is very clear that he doesn't feel comfortable there, and I would probably do the same thing. I even admire him he reacts so polite to the woman that pronounces his name wrong. Geez, poor Cilly!

lol "It's 'Cillian', actually..." priceless!
But yeah, he looks a tad bit annoyed, hey, if I had a million people screaming at me, I'd probably hide my face from embarrassment--just to piss them off.
