After I saw A Clockwork Orange I was definitely hooked on him lol. Although he usually plays villains he is really a great actor if you get to see his movies. I really liked him in If... too. Now I've been collecting his movies like mad! It's hard to find the good ones though since he's been in sooo many things! The only problem with my new obsession is that there is no active forum for him like there is here with Cillian.  But anyways I figured I'd share that with you guys to see what you think of him.  |

You know how most people get freaked out by Cillian , that's how I am with this guy. I find him attractive though, even as a old man. I want to see more of his work but not sure what movies to watch...any suggestions? I don't like horror movies.
I use to think Malcolm McDowell and Keir Dullea were the same person when I was younger. Don't ask why, because I'm not sure. Just call me crazy haha!
Edit: I think A Clockwork Orange is the only movie I seen of his

Well a lot of his best movies are harder to find but I would definitely suggest the movie If... from 1968. I got mine from a Barnes and Noble store. It's a very good movie, at least in my opinion. Time After Time is also good. He plays a good guy in that so you will get to see him portrayed in a different light from his usually evil roles and the whole story is very cute. And I also recommend the movie Star Trek: Generations, even if you are not a trekky it's a pretty good one to see. I have also seen the infamous movie Caligula which he starred in and though I thought he did an amazing job at playing a deranged Roman Emperor I would not suggest anybody watch it unless you don't mind seeing graphic sexual scenes.  While the movie is not actually a porno in my opinion it is very graphic in that way( although Malcolm McDowell and the other major actors in the film had nothing to do with that part of the film). So for that one I say watch at your own risk. However I'll say again that Malcolm McDowell does an amazing job in this film, no matter what dirty stuff other people added in. So yeah those are my recommendations so far. Can you tell I'm a fan? lol I would have suggested you see Halloween but you said you don't like scary movies and that one is kinda scary. Anyway hope that helps! ;D |
