HI GUYS! I need a huge favour from you! Below is a horror trailer that my group and I had filmed, and I fully edited the piece for our media project. I should've uploaded this sooner but it's never too late for some feedback! I'd REEEEEEALLY appreciate if you guys do this for me, in order for me to improve editing in the near future!
Comments on youtube would be even better (easier for me to come back to it and just look below the vid)!
Oh and in case anyone is wondering, I actually got an A for it (Squeee my first A in media!!)

Wooo that's ace! I always love how people interpret creative stuff in any format. I am a straight forward critic though (but please take it as just feeble artistic opinion) ...and to help a a little bit, I would say slow down the flashing titles towards the end section, and the room effect of the voice over would sound better and more chilling if it was flatter, more vocal ranged and no reverb... maybe try a telephonic effect ?? I love the focus on the key locket! But maybe a more lingering shot or two of it rather than 7 short ones but I can see how you cut the visual to the music for this, really well, (But that's just an artistic opinion which is mute because it's not my material!) Please don't hit me!... it's really good! 5 stars! **** ;D ;D ;D ;D

What did you mean by 'telephonic' effect though?

Ummm ya know when you hear a voice on an old phone? If you are into EQ or touch on sound topic with your studies, it has a high mid section... I won't go all geeky on you with Hz & Khz it's the effect you get by sliding the mid range on an equaliser control board higher than the bass end (Left) or the high treble end (Right) Recording software with sound effect racks and even simple PC intergrated sound effects will even have preset options. Usually labelled "Telephone/Telephonic/Vocal"
Oh no, now I have the scene from "Scary Movie" in my head where the daft 'scream' masked predator is hissing down the phone "I'm in the house!!" where he has this funny nasal chuckle!

That looks really good !!!!!! Very professional and rather scary. Great editing ! (a well deserved A ! ) And I also like the music you used.
That trailer really is very teasing.

Abut the critic I think quite the same as Ikklehen. The flashing titles seem to be a bit too fast.
What I could add from my (personal and maybe subjective ) point of view is that you could slow down the cuts between some of the sequences as well. There seem to be very much quite fast cuts in a row and the viewer has not much time to react on each. (Hope you get what I mean )
And the "black screen moments" between the cuts seem to be too long. But I'm really not an expert in film making ! Maybe this is some kind of a effect of a special style.


What exactly is this for a kind of school you're doing? Is it only film making or creative stuff in general ? It looks very interesting. I'm quite jealous you have the opportunity to make something so interesting !!

Thank you zombie! I really appreciate the comment (your 100th CB was from me btw!) It's a college project I did in A2 Media Studies I studied horror films in the first half of the year (meaning we also went through trailers - I made my whole class watch Red Eye trailer cos it was sooooo relevant to what we were doing!)
