Victim If you use pure mineral make-up it really does cover better than regular cosmetics. This is because the minerals being made of natural light reflecting rocks and crystals are much smaller particles and creates much more pigment than non mineral or partially mineralized foundations.
Jane Iredale is expensive but worth every penny. People with dark birth marks and worse have been covered beautifully with these products. Also, Living Nature do a fantastic concealer in a little tube you need to apply with a clean brush. Youngblood is a good make I hear also. If there is one thing to invest in, is a good foundation or tinted moisturizer and a good concealer. It's worth paying that little bit extra for something that is being applied all over your face and that has to sit there for a few hours!
Read the thread above about make-up that I directed towards Disarm and Cait, maybe it will help you in the direction of choosing the right foundation. But true minerals DO cover better than other cosmetics.
Remember I can PM any links if you need help just let me know. It makes it easier on where to start.

That sounds awesome! Some woman in a beauty store tried her best to cover it but it was still visible...
You know, I wish they used organic theater makeup when I was younger... I did a lot of theater and it was a pain being allergic towards the theater makeup they used. Either I'd forget it when I was little and when I got older I hoped I would be able to use it still...

Yes! I don't think anything cosmetic was chem free back a few years ago. I used to use Pancake stick, grease paint on my eyes and Copydex to glue on my huge eyelashes! LOL ...though I always love the scent of Pancake stick... always reminds me of theatre!

Aloe Vera. This stuff works for everything! It is a miracle healer and amazing moisturizer. Best way to use it is straight from the plant. slice a centimetre/quarter of an inch off a spike and carefully slice it in half to get to the clear gel inside. Run your nail gently into the gel to break it down into a plyable liquid and apply on clean skin. It will heal scars and spots, burns and eczema etc. Ingestable aloe supplements are amazing too.

Yes Aloe Vera is great! Before the plant mum had died I used it all the time for my cuts; especially the burn I had on my arm! Its a cheap, very organic and safe product and I've been trying to make mum buy another but she argues that the cat will just eat it... Bleh, when I move out I will buy my own plant!
I had an organic aloe vera drink some months ago when I had a sore throat, it tasted great I just wish it hadn't had the jelly blops in it; that made it a little icky to drink...

Can I draw attention to a really good brand?
They are on-line and UK based but the owner is passionate about safe health and beauty and accessable to answer questions and support. I have used their stuff for about 6 years now and they are amazing. I stumbled across them in my town at a health and beauty trade show. I was wearily checking their ingredients on the back of a bottle of shampoo because their sign was promoting "SAFE SKINCARE" the owner, John, came over to me and gave me loads of brilliant information. They do mail order and have several different ranges from fragrance free to luxury oils. They do a fantastic "Kill 'Em Dead" Spot kit with 3 amazing products in it. (I use it myself!) and the facial oils are divine, I have one with Neroli and Rose oil in (Regenerating Oil) A little bit goes a long way! Check them out at www.essentially-yours.co.ukThe site has lots of help and information on safe skincare and how to address certain problems like Psorasis, Acne, Rosacea for example. They even have a baby range! (the adverts on the telly where some poor kid is being slathered in petrolium grease makes my blood curdle!)

I love that name 'Kill 'em Dead' I'm a sucker for product names! and the site looks great! They really do give a lot of good advise! Thanks for sharing it!
You know, I was at the local organic store and got my best friend a bar of soap made from sheep milk and shaped like a sheep last Friday. her nickname has been 'Sheep' for years and I just had to get it! I actually went to get my favorite liquorice. They had a lot of new things and they had a lot of free trials too!
I even got a free trial on organic pads. I had no idea they made those but they were actually comfortable. I also got a little pad and asked my mum if she wanted to try it out. She HATES organic things, she thinks they're poisoned *rolls eyes*

I'm having a go at making soap. Organic ingredients where possible, nothing tested on animals in the whole process of the ingredients, 100% true natural, vegan soap. It takes the guess work out of ethical and chemical standards for those who want soap I guess. ;D I shall impart news soon of whether I have melted my apartment or not.

That's awesome, Shamrocks! I use goat milk soap, anything else is too harsh for my skin, although I haven't tried any others beside store-bought brands. I hope you are successful (and don't melt your apartment). ;D

Ahhh you have sensitive skin Cait me too. I won't make goat's milk I'm afraid because it won't be vegan then but I can make soap with coconut milk ;D I have a recipe in the making for that! I have just ordered the essential oils for the next recipe! Squee! I have made my first batch of orange & lavender soap OMG it smells amazing, I'm curing the bars in a wooden drawer on paper. Smells delish! I have been using the little slices from the top of the batch where I neaten the bars up... can I say it's the most amazing stuff I have every used on my skin! I have surpassed myself! I'm addicted! Whee! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
