Hello all. Thought i'd better introduce myself properly if i intend hanging around a while  I accidentally discovered Cillian on the 29th of August - i can pinpoint it exactly because i was away at the coast for the Bank Holiday and whilst there i picked up "On The Edge" in a second hand DVD shop for the princely sum of £2. I just fancied the film from the description on the back of the DVD case and watched it that evening. And since then i've been completed hooked on Cillian. I can't even describe what it is - maybe some of you can empathise with that feeling? - he's just...mesmerising. I'll be honest, i do already have a weakness for Irish men - i'm a big Colin Farrell fan - but they've all been pushed onto the back burner since i found Cillian! |

There's just no one who could compare to him, in my eyes. Yeah, you're right about saying he's mesmerising. And I can absolutely empathise with you, Irish Lover !  There's something about him that doesn't seems to come from this world. Something pure... something different... something never seen. And it's not only his stunning looks. It's also his ability to make every role he's playing unique. He has that talent that, when you're watching one of his characters in a movie, you usually don't think: Ah that's Cillian Murphy playing a bad guy or whatever. He just IS that character in this moment and not Cillian Murphy. I hope that makes any sense LOL  Btw: Welcome Irish Lover !!! ;D Glad to have another "victim" of the hypnotizing charms of Cillian on this superb forum. Hey! I have quite a weakness for Irish actors too !! I adore Gabriel Byrne and ("only" half Irish :  Michael Fassbender! Oh and Colin O' Donoghue is quite sweet too. |

Welcome to the forum IrishLover! On the Edge is a personal favourite of mine, i think it's one of Cillian's best performances and he's so young in it too. I tend to prefer his Irish movies most of the time anyway, probably because it's more familiar to me and most of them are indie movies which i always love! I tend to prefer his Irish movies most of the time anyway, probably because it's more familiar to me and most of them are indie movies which i always love! Couldn't have put it better myself! On The Edge is one of my favourites too...and i prefer Cillian's Irish films...and i love Indie films in general ;D |

Welcome Irish_Lover! I love Irish men, too. There's something about them, but Cillian is my number one. Also, I agree about the sig and av pics. I loved him as Michael, and I quite like his facial hair in that film. I think it makes him look so gorgeous. See you around the forums!! |

So glad you all approve of the sig/avvy. Perrier's Bounty is maybe my favourite of Cillian's films. Largely in part due to how good he looks in it! (I am rather partial to a stubbly face ) But also due to the presence of both Brendan Gleeson and Liam Cunningham - two of my other favourite Irish actors. It also reminds me slightly of In Bruges. I'm pretty sure you can guess which Irish actor keeps my interest in that one! And might i say Cait your "swagger" sig is beautiful. From the In Time trailer is it? |
