OMG, I read in a few twitter reviews of Hamlet tonight that an audience member's phone rings just before Michael Sheen can start his To Be or Not To Be speech. Yikes!!! What is wrong with people that they still don't turn off their phones before a performance, lecture, or film? I remember the same thing happened during a play with Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuT6_uvB_9QSome people need to be dope slapped ala Homer Simpson.

I can't stand it! People are very impolite... Can't you just turn off the stupid phone before the event?? Is it too hard for you? C'mon... it happens a lot of times and I hate it! But it isn't just the phone, sometimes people just start talking... I mean, are you serious?

That's just horrible! It's rude to the actors and to the people around you as well!
There's something called vibrate if it's really important!
Actually I remember seeing a play once sitting on first row next to a fellow drama student and before the show started she was talking on the phone and turned it off just as the lights dimmed and this lady next to her said loudly to her husband that it was so disgraceful... 5 minutes into the play the lady's cellphone went off...
