Since I've now 'cleared' this with the mods I thought I'd re-post this little thread.
There are a lot of people on here who like to write. I, myself, used to write a lot but have found myself sadly lacking in inspiration these days. I don't know what it is; breakdowns in 'fandom' relationships or what have you. I'm not sure. I was thinking that maybe we could have an 'inspiration/gift thread' such as this one where people can post 'requests' for things that they might like to read (obviously within the rules of the forum) and one of the 'writers' (or more than one) might want to take up their challenge as a 'fic gift'.
Example - someone might like to read a 28 Days Later fic where we get the backstory of Jim, or an Inception fic where we get a more detailed insight into Cillian's character. We've all got our own ideas for things we might like to read and there are any number of people here who are more than capable of offering a 'fic gift' to satisfy the cravings.
So...if anyone has any requests or ideas, post 'em here so that someone can write that random little story for you.
A little template could be as follows:
Fandom: eg Batman, Red Eye
Pairing(if applicable): eg Robert/Ariadne, even Jim/Major West
Specific Request: eg fluff, pre-movie, romance - or something more specific such as an actual prompt, eg "A story about Jim before his accident" or "What did Jackson mean when he implied that failure was not an option for him" (paraphrasing there, Red Eye obsessives, sorry)
