But then it's great that kind people care to share some shots of it! Thank you girls

Thanks to Leyla (bless her for this finding in Milan!) we've got the scanned interview. Just click to enlarge them, since they are in high res. Here you have and also an excerpt of some of the Cillian's words: "I've always felt that the less the pulbic knows about you, the more effective you can be when you go to portray someone else. Lots of actors reveals so much about themselves, and allow their personal selves to be owned by the media and the public. I find that at odds with trying to lose yourself in a character. And that's the thing I'm after. That's what drives me. I',m 36 now, and I still have a real hunger for it"
"Stage is more satisfying. If it reaches the point of being transcendent, where you're not actually conscious of being on stage performing, because you're only aware of the character and his world and his needs, whell, that's what you're always aiming for, that's the moment that people theatre are always chasing. It's the ultimate rush, if you will, for an actor, when the self disappears completely"
"I'm also hopping to do some telly. The smart bid-budget movie, wich has been my bread and butter, has been squeezed out quite a bit. People are very reluctant to take a chance on smart $17 million movie. They'd much rather throw everything into a dumb $250 million movie, but you don't find that in TV where the writing just gets better and better, and you've the opportunity to develop a character over many hours."
*** Note from the interviewer: "when you're interviewing an actor, it's always difficult to know if your're witnessing a performance of the real person, but I get the distinct impression that Cillian Murphy is noticeably a nice guy, but maybe even happy and fulfilled. Is this true?
Cillian: well, the insecurity is always there, it's a necessary aspect of being an actor, or a writer for that matter. You have to have that security. I used to feel like a failed musician pretending to be an actor, but that's less of a worry now. I've found my form. I've found the right outlet for my impulse to create, and yes, I'm pretty happy. I don't believe you have to be a tortured person in order to make a great art. It needn't always come from a place of pain, although there seems to be a romantic view of that"

Thanks for buying and offering us to read Leyla. And thanks for posting Dulcemirita !! CB to both of you and a HUGE thank and hug for contributing and participating this forum in general. It's much appreciated, ladies I'll take the time to read the whole stuff when I'm not so tired LOL (Although I wished I could hold the magazine in my hands and read it "life" ) But from your exerpts, Dulcemirita, I can already tell that I like very much the whole art approach of his way of working and how important this is for him. But from time to time a bombasitc, fancy big budget movie would please me too, of course...

Thank you so much for posting this girls! It means a lot for me to be able to read this, especially since Port seems to be the only magazine in the world they don't sell at the station... *le sigh*

It drew my attention that he mentions again At Swim Two Birds, obviously a project he's aiming with all his heart to start, And isnt' it lovely the way the interviewer describe Cillian? "Cillian Murphy looks as a criature drifted down to earth from another galaxy, or floated up from a cave kingdom beneath the Iris sea" I NEED TO FIND THIS MAGAZINE TOO!!!!

I see the point he's trying to make, though. He is asked the same questions over and over, how many different ways can he answer them? However, at the same time, it's part of his job, whether he likes it or not. I don't think I know of any other actor who complains about interviews as much as he does. Thank you ladies for providing us with the scanned interview! It was a good read.
