Oh wow... This is great news! Thanks, Allstarr! I haven't much liked the latest films I've seen Johnny Depp in. The Tourist, Alice in Wonderland, the latest Pirates of the Caribbean installmensts... But I still love him for Edward Scissorhands, Gilbert Grape, Donnie Brasco, Public Enemies... This will be an audiovisual heaven for many, many women. It's a little like winning the lottery. Cillian will take care of the audio, I trust. And it will be interesting to see Wally Pfister as a director. I have high hopes for him. It will be agony, waiting for this one.

So my brother goes "I presume you heard about this movie Transcendence with Johnny Depp and Cillian Murphy?"...... Eh NOOO!!!! I somehow didn't see thread at all. I'm so freakin excited it's not even comprehendable! I've always said "Imagine if Johnny and Cillian were in a movie together. I'd be in heaven." And so i shall be! Two of my favourite actors and the most beautiful men on earth in the one movie. Hopefully it'll be a great movie too. I've been obsessed with Johnny since i was about 12 and i have to admit the last few years he hasn't made the best choices with his roles but i'm looking forward to this and The Lone Ranger- looks fun. Plus he's played some of the best roles in some of my favourite movies throughout his career- Edward Scissorhands, Dead Man, Gilbert Grape, Blow, Cry Baby, Benny and Joon, The Brave, Ed Wood, Donnie Brasco, Sweeney Todd......His body of work is stunning and nothing can take away from that. Bring on Cillian and Johnny together! ;D

I'm so HAPPY! ;D ;D ;D I'm doing my happy dance in my head right now. I'd like to think that the sheer force and intensity of my desire to see Cillian and Johnny together in a film has somehow made all the universe conspire to bring them together in this film. LOL. ;D Joking aside, I am just beside myself with excitement when I read about this film on IMDB. I broke my long hiatus from this site just so I could be all fan-girly and SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to my heart's content about this project. (I think I spent around 3 minutes trying to log in to the forum, only to realize that the reason I couldn't get in wasn't because of a wrong password --- I typed the wrong username. DOH!) My dreams have come true! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all will go well with this project. Now all I need is to wish really hard that Cillian and Ewan McGregor work together in a film in the future. ;D razzthekid: I love Johnny's films, too. He just makes his characters look so cool...even the one he played in "Once Upon a Time in Mexico." Hehe. ;D My love for Johnny began with "21 Jump Street," which makes me ancient, I guess. LOL.

@i'mPeachy: God i haven't seen Once Upon a Time in forever! I remember it being really confusing and strange bu Johnny being really fun and, yes, as always sh*t cool! If possible he looked even hotter with congealed blood all over his face! I've never seen any of 21 Jump Street- only clips that i've seen on shows about Johnny and stuff like that. He looks so young and exactly the way he didn't want to look- like a pretty boy heart throb! He looks so much better in his own style- long scraggly hair, a plethora of jewellery and the ever present hat and shades! God i do love that man! ;D And his voice along side Cillian's in a movie....... Though i presume Cillian may have to lose his accent.

NOW we're talking. ;D
Couldn't have said it better, Zombie. Never made sense to me that he would walk away from good films just because they're large projects or non-European ones. Good that he's in something I'd be interested in whether he's in it or not; that's always the litmus test for films, and this one passes because the whole cast is fabulous.

This was an AWESOME thread to read after being away from the forum! ;D Johnny Depp has always been one of my faves, along with Morgan Freeman, so having three of my fave actors in the same movie - I can't really find the words right now! I was so saddened to hear Cillian say he was going to stay away from Hollywood movies, but something also told me he wouldn't stay away forever. And he's playing a scientist, possibly? I like the sounds of that. This is indeed VERY exciting!! PS. I love how this project of his is bringing us all back! LOL

I'm sooo excited with this project. Johnny & Cillian working together is sure to be a pleasure to the eyes. Can't wait!!! I've seen pictures of Johnny on set April 29/30. I assume Cillian is yet to begin shooting.
