;D Gave in, ordered it froom Amazon Canada last night - there are no extras on the UK issue, and Oz doesn't have a release date at all. Can't wait!!!!
Ang, won't be seeing it for the first time, luckily it was given a limited cinema release here so I dragged along my sister.
Love this movie - all of the characters jump off the screen to you, I'm going to drive my mates nuts when it gets here forcing them all to watch it LOL!
Cheers ~Ultra

it's here, YAY! So glad I got the US release and not the UK one - no extras listed on the UK disc.
Two deleted scenes, and both feature John & Oscar - excellent! 10% more Cillian than advertised ;D Wish there was a commentary track, I love behind the scenes stuff.
Great to see the movie again. There are so many great little moments (or should I say "mythic shots")?. The over 28's bar had my hubbie cringing like anything LOL! Great performances all around.
Cheers ~Ultra

I have seen about 40% of Intermission, my sis wanted to go to bed and I didn't want to watch it by myself...squealing over Cillian's blue eyes just isn't the same by my lonesome I have to admit I needed the subtitles, 5 minutes into the movie b/c I was lost but oh was he ever so dreamy... The little kid doing the Riverdance was hilarious and the chick with the tache' is Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter II. I couldn't believe the opening act!

Hi Jem, subtitles .. oh, yeah! I kind of don't notice that, we have some Irish & Scots family so I'm totally used to Celtic accents & slang, but when I first saw this my sister pointed out that heaps of people would have trouble following it. Must be interesting for non Irish tuned ears, yes. Yay for subtitles! Kelly MacDonald did well, she's a Scot, not Irish - flawless accent though. (silly note - I love the way C pronounces 'baldy' for some reason! ;D ) Solo squealing over Cillian - yes, know what you mean, I had to watch it with my other half, may as well have been on my own! Cheers ~Ultra

Another thing I forgot to add was the scene where he's talking about love with the bus driver and their in their masks, man his eyes pop don't they? They really are one of a kind

so our thanksgiving choice of film was intermission(and the breakfast club)..... Cillian as always , kills it with his acting abilities . I loved the film , Shirley Henderson was fantastic . Of course I found myself trying not to dribble, but luckily Colin Farrel provided the dribble factor for a few others that were entertained by a briiliant, funny yet tragic film. P>S I had forgotten how amazing the Breakfast Club is minus the stoner dance scenes!!!!!)

Y'know, I have never seen the Breakfast Club. ? I managed to grow up in the western world of the 1980's and not see that movie. Today, however, while scanning some family tree stuff, I found a bit of newspaper with something cool on it - a review of Intermission with a nice big Cillian pic. Sorry about the yellow bar, nowt I can do with this stupid scanner. Right click & save as (450Kb jpg) --> www.davidbowie.com/users/Vicious/intermission%20review.jpgEnjoy! ~Ultra

No worries Jo! Just lucky I found it then - scanner goes on the blink sometimes but it was firing yesterday. There is also a quarter page ad in the same paper, but it's the standard artwork so not worth posting. It got a fair bit of publicity here actually, for a limited release film. Did pretty well I think - which is why I'm surprised that it doesn't have a dvcd release. It will probably come out in 2006 or so, with no extras - Cheers ~Ultra
