Thought I should post this here for anyone looking to buy the book - amazon.com has multiple "used" copies of the book (the descriptions I read didn't sound too bad about condition of book) - I just ordered one for 5.25$ incl. of shipping and handling.
I know from lurking here that quite a few of us are on a budget of sorts - too young, living on meagre means, with parents and such - I thought this would be good for you guys to know.
The book seems interesting - and as some other forum members have posted, I am looking forward to reading a book that Cillian has declared to be a "great book" (thanks, Tanya) - and want to see how it's translated to a movie...
check it out...just do a search for "breakfast on pluto" and check out the "used" offerings

^Ha!
Recommendation: b/c of the content, I suggest getting it at your library before you buy it. We all have different attitudes towards different lifestyles, so if you feel one way towards some of the subject matter here, you may want to obtain it in a "free" manner before buying it.
thanks, Dr!

Good thing you posted the link though.....I bought it last week for the $13.00 it was suggested as, but it was well worth it in my opinion cause it was an excellent book. But I also agree with Tanya that it might not be the book for everyone, my mom certainly didn't seem interested at all....when I told her about it all she said was "kinky" in a very sarcastic tone.

I just finished reading it and i'm starting on it again. I enjoyed it. I'm totally visualizing Cillian as Patrick when i'm reading it. Awesome read!

I've just started reading it &, quite honestly, am having a hard time getting thru it. Maybe it's his writing style & the slang used. Any input & discussion would be appreciated.

Just finished the Bell Jar and I'm going to read BOP again since I have nothing batter to do waiting for 12:30 to come round. I would have had a bit more trouble then I did with the slang if it wern't for the fact that the channel I watch most is BBC, that helped a lot I'd say.

Yeah the slang isn't that hard to understand if you watch foreign television.

Yeah, some of the accent is a tad hard to understand but who cares??
And I am still waiting on my BoP book - if I get it tomorrow, then I am going to take it with me for my long weekend plans and then I KNOW I will get teased both about the book and contents AND about this schoolgirl crush I have on him!
Cillian, Cillian - see what I put up with for you....If only there was someone I knew in NYC then I could have a once-a-week session to gush and then return back to (some) sanity!

I know, I know - but I am sure the "cilliness" (from his mispronounced name) is damaging - I mean, can you imagine seeing him some day and making a complete ass of yourself??
AND NO TANYA, No matter what you believe, I would be WORSE than you...from what I read, you were only clumsy. I would be embarassing!!
