I love how Cillian has an Irish accent because well he's Irish. But in certain movies like red eye and batman and stuff like that, he can speak in an American accent. Which i think might be a little complicated doing that for a whole movie, and also on top of that having to act out evrything too. But i think that that's really cool that he has the talent and ability to do that.

Out of all actors I've heard trying to do a different accent, I think Cillian does the best job. He's amazing and it just blows my mind.

Really? I looove his accent to death, his voice is gorgeous, but like I think the Irish definately peeks through sometimes. Maybe I just notice it now cuz I know too look for it. The only thing I thought he said oddly in Batman (pre-in-love-with-him) was "Scarecrow". And by oddly I mean hot.

lol That's true! The thing is that many actors let their accents slip more than him.

well, it's not so hard to mimic other languages
I have a very strong East Coast (via Philadelphia and New York) accent. When I make fun of my friends here in CA, I jokingly mimic the "valley girl" sound convicingly (according to them and my hubby).
But, yeah, he does good in another accent, though the Irish does peek out at times, if you listen closely.

It's not hard at all if you're AROUND people who are talking with an accent.
That's how we get accents, by listening to the way other people talk.

I love the irish accent, but he does do an exillent job at an American one.
Nublet:"That's how we get accents, by listening to the way other people talk." *nods* Very true, I mostly watch BBC so most of the time my friends tell me I have a slight british accent, I never even notice unless they point it out (works good in doing plays though...I can't do c*ckney very well though, it sounds forced.)

Yeah, he can do it really cool.
When I talk english to people I'm not familiar with you can hear very well that I'm dutch, but when I get to know them better the dutchness fades away.
