(rumored) Well, with all the evidence that's been giving I'd say it's a 95% postive thing that Cillian has returned for Dark Knight. For how long remains to be known, but as many have said...some Cillian is certianly better then none ;D. And, is it just me, or is anyone else happy Maggie Gyllenhaal has replaced Katie Holmes/Cruise as Rachel? I mean, I love Katie. She's pretty, & I'm sure she's very sweet. I just think she didn't suit the role at all! She was the only issue I had with BB. And no, not just cause she gets to kiss Christian...there'll be jealousy there no matter who plays Rachel. |

Thanks for including Kim - I just had a flip through that. Made for a very interesting read!  I really do hope one day there's an opportunity for Cillian to reprise his role (properly) as Scarecrow - and that he chooses to go for it. I know that he doesn't like repeating character performances. But in this case, at least in my view, he was definitely way under used in the first movie. We didn't really get to learn all that much about Dr Crane - beyond what was obvious on the outside about him. And considering that - I did think Cillian only appearing for all of the five minutes we got to see of him in the Dark Knight was a pretty big let down from an audience point of view. We didn't learn anything new about the character - beyond the fact that Batman briefly caught up with him and that was it. I appreciate that the Dark Knight was supposed to be primarily focused on what was happening with the Joker and Harvey Dent/Two Face. But then they might as well have decided to leave Dr Crane out altogether and given him more substantial screen time in another Batman movie. Those five minutes did not do the character - or Cillians acting - the justice that was deserved. Cillian was so fantastic in the role, and Dr Crane is one of the most interesting villians I've yet seen in a Batman movie. I'd be thrilled to bits if it ever happened he made a future comeback in a Batman movie. |

I hope they use him again too. He could do so much more and if the directors and writers look at those type of forums and see what real comic book fans are saying i don't see how they could ignore them.
