Does anybody own the 28 Days Later DVD? I recently rented it from Family Video and saw the alternate ending they had. Arrrrgh!!! *pulls hair* S P O I L E R A L E R T I'm so glad that wasn't put in as the "official" ending. How could he think of letting Cillian's character day on the operating table while they try to revive him?  |

well, I'm savouring it, so so far I've only watched the deleted scenes and the production stills gallery.
I liked the one scene where they were all taking turns driving.

I LOVE this movie! Funny thing, started taking a new route home from work last week, and there is a large double billboard on the way that still has the 28DL posters showing on it "to be released in September" (looks like the subsequent layers have come off, there are shreds of other posters in places) - I nearly ran off the road first time, I recognised the logo and thought "what the .. can't be!" but there was poor Jim in silhouette... I wave to him every night on the way past now LOL. That alternate ending .. yeah, I'm SO glad they didn't! I couldn't have stood it - that ending would have left no hope at all, two females are all that's left...... that is too much of a downer I think. Beautifully filmed & acted scene, but it would have meant leaving the audience with a totally depressing and short future for the girls, and he was too endearing a character to lose. I'm usually the first one to complain about filmakers taking the 'softer' option, but this time it would have been too much. Danny Boyle , Alex Garland and Cillian teaming up again for Sunshine = YEAH!!! Cheers ~Ultra |

I've got the dvd but haven't seen this alternate ending you are all talking about. I will have to go and watch it now.
Is it the one with the storyboards and not the actual scenes yet?

Omg I'm getting the Dvd as a Birthday present because I love that movie soooo much - I have the video tape but it's beat up and has no juicy special features I cannot wait - it's okay that it's spoiled for me I still want to see the alternate ending and now at least I know what to expect - that the original ending is better anyway

Now put Cillian in a Chucky movie and I would be scared out of my life **my worst childhood fear - chucky**
