I think it was the sexy pleading tone that did me in and ironically, in BB, it was his sort of weirdly emotionless persona that attracted me. LOL I guess that means I don't care how he acts as long as it's with me  I think I'm attracted in different ways. I love it when Cillian is able to play characters where their emotions are raw and exposed (like Pig) - it's so primal and powerful. With Dr. Crane, because he is so nearly emotionless, it makes me think of maybe repression and hidden pent-up passion waiting to be unleased. There I go again. Gutter brain. I think what will be such a treat with Jackson Rippener is we'll get to have the best of all worlds 1. sweet and charming 2. cold, calculating killer 3. angry and out-of-control. It will be a real treat seeing him play his full range. What amazing talent ... and how sexy he will be in all of them. |

I get home about 6 p.m. ... but sometimes after dinner and cleanup I'm on at 7:30 or 8 p.m. I hear you about work. Would be nice to have a job of Cillian drooling.  I'd be rich if I got paid to do that!! Cool, that's around the time I'm on too. Hope to talk to you then! |

The more I keep thinking about it, I keep having this huge backstory about Dr. Crane - that he was picked on as a child and maybe had emotionally distant parents and Dr. Crane eventually got a thrill at being able to turn the bullies (criminals/powerful) into being afraid of him - those who normally would persecute him. What I think Dr. Crane doesn't know is how to react to being loved. He's used to people bullying him, hating him, treating him badly. I think someone loving him that would just floor him and really throw him off his footing.

I think you're pretty close to the mark with the back story there, about the bullying and his enjoyment in seeing others suffer. Poor Dr. Crane.
So, someone loving him would throw him off his footing, hey? Well, if he ever needed loving I'm just a phone call away lol.

He knows how to deal with bullies, but how do you deal with someone who cares about you? I sure would like to show him... I see him being almost angry about it at first, thinking it was just some kind of ploy, thinking "She can't be serious." He would be wary at first, don't you think? |

I think so too. That's all he's ever known is people hating or bullying him. He'd either think they were trying to hurt him, get to him somehow or get something out of him - as in the interrogation scene. I can imagine if you tried to kiss him at first him flinching away. You can see he's used to the way Rachel treats him. Her hostility toward him didn't phase him one bit.

I love fanfics too Unfortunately the only one I have ever actually written was a... *whispers* Harry Potter one *normal voice again* But a Batman Begins fanfic, where our heroine tames the sexy and disturbed Dr. Crane might be an interesting tale! I would continue from where you left off, but I have to consider the "keep it clean" rules of the site hehe! |
