Unfortunately I never got to see this at the cinema in the end I'm not sure that it was necessarily even shown at any of the cinema's around where I am though. While I noticed it was advertised in some parts of London - this wasn't the case everywhere. And though my partner and I checked his local cinema out for news of this film - which imo was amongst those most likely to be showing it - there wasn't even the tiniest mention of it. Yet Inception was already advertised on a massive poster - and that was months before it was even shown there. At the time, I assumed that when it did get shown there'd be alot more advertising info to alert me. Yet months went by and I noticed nothing! Now today I've realised for the first time today it's already out on dvd here. I'm really wishing I'd made more of an effort than I did to keep a closer eye on local movie showings, but guess I missed my big screen chance whether I like it or not. :-( Still, at least I now know I can probably rent it - which admittedly is a whole lot better than nothing at all. I'm going to see if I can do that over the next weekend!

Finally got to see this last weekend as managed to pick a dvd copy up from my local HMV! Have to say, this film didn't strike me as being amongst the most original of its kind. But even so I thought it still made a good entertaining watch. Thought the action scenes were nicely paced, with some great humor touches. Also thought Cillian - as always when it comes to the different parts he plays - gave a great performance as Michael. Thought the cast were all very good in general - and in particular found Jim Broadbent very funny as Michael's dad. *spoiler* I couldn't help feeling it was a shame his character got killed off, but at the same time felt it definitely added to the overall emotional impact of the film in a good way. I also really liked the way the ending was done - my romantic expectations when it came to the development of Michael's and Brenda's relationship were nicely satisfied (without it being done in a super corny style imo!) and also found the thought provoking note the film finished on - just before the credits started rolling - to be very well done. All in all giving this film a 7.5 out of 10. While this didn't quite make my top favourite film list - I still found it to be highly worth the purchase and liked it alot!

Yes there are Disarm! Not many admittedly. But short cast interviews with Cillian, Brendan Gleeson, Jim Broadbent and Jodie Whittaker are included!

Just had to point out, any Irish person who watches the movie, is quite likely to find Jim Broadbent's attempt at an Irish accent either, highly annoying or mildly offensive. It really is awful and that is kind of off putting but i still love the movie, and Cillian's performance makes up for it.

This is only my opinion of course. But I personally thought Jim Broadbent did a good Irish accent. Admittedly I'm not Irish born, but I have listened to genuine Irish accents being spoken before -and honestly didn't notice anything that stood out as being wrong with it. Maybe it wasn't quite as strong sounding as with some of the other actors. But I still thought it was done pretty well. In fact I found myself completely forgetting Jim was English throughout the whole of the film because of how convincing I found it - including scene's in which he was directly exchanging dialogue with Cillian - and found his whole character performance to be one of the best things about the movie!
