In my art class for our first project in color pencil, my teacher wants us to grab an image that includes a chair or some sort of seat (no, the ground/floor and beds don't count) along with some sort of reading referrance. Could be a book, newspaper, even a bilboard - Something with readable text of some kind, I assume. And, obviously, in color. Now, after looking through my J-Rock and Batman movie photos for any workable pics and coming up short, I decided, "Hmm, it's rock so much if I did Cillian." So, yes, I really want to draw him with the chair and reading referrence . . . but I can't find any pictures that meet the requirements. T_T The only one that might have been do-able was one with him holding an record album while seated on a sofa, but the image was too small and had a crappy resolution. . . . Any help for a pic that meets my teacher's requirements would be freakishly appreciated, please.

I've already looked through as much as I can stand, which is why I'm asking for help.

Blue: Ya, that's the one that would have worked (I figure so too because it includes something to read, so that counts), but it's far too small. I have to do a detailed color pencil drawing at least 10 x 15in, and if I size that up to see it better, all the pixels will show.
Murchadh: Awwww, that second one would have been perfect (and he looks so cute there!) . . . but no, it can't be text slapped on to the photograph. I need a reading referrance within the actual picture. But thank you very much anyway.

Wasn't sure what you ment by reading reference, so like the mag's name or his name or something?? I might have one if so.

you said the one Blue showed was the one that would have worked had it not been small, that exact pic, cause this might be a little better, it's like 700x595. I made it a little lighter to make the proper adjustments to clerity...hope thats ok, if not I can change it to being darker, but I don't think it's much diffrent as far as that goes. i22.photobucket.com/albums/b339/MistressMurchadh/blendermag.jpgHope it works ^_^, if not I'll try again OH! and if it helps, what I do when the pic I have is smaller then what I want/need the drawing to be I size up where all of the featres are and try to position them properly in the larger one (if your good at math and mesurements you can even use a ruler or something to take measures of distance between features and then multifly each by the same to get the larger measures, then just make marks on you paper where things go)...take a bit longer then doing an exact size copy. Does the person sitting have to fill the whole thing, of can you do like plants and trees in the background? Sorry if this isn't helping...thats just what works for me.

*GASP* I heart you. Wow, you are . . . a god, simply a god. I think that pic may very well be workable, I just hope that the records are a good enough 'reading' referrance and that my teacher is compassionate towards my obsessive need to draw him . . . And no, the person sitting doesn't need to fill up the whole image. Plants and trees though are a real *beep* to do, so I'd prefer very little or few of it . . . Then again, if it's Cillian, I'll brave anything. ^^ So, ya, scratch that - Plants and trees are fine.

Yeah, I mean you can always enlarge it in the drawing better by doing a square by square or grid or whatever they call it. That usually works for people enlarging things... I had to do that once.

YAH! I'm so glad it works ^_^, I'm happy now....I love helping people its so much fun. If your able to, and want to, could to post your finished pic here so we can see it. If you don't want to or can't thats cool, but I'm an art nut so I'd love to see your work.

Blue: Oh of course, I /always/ do that - Ensures accuracy and makes the process a whole lot less stressful. But that's why I was stressing before - The larger the pic, the better still, because once you enlarge it in the drawing, you can only take so much detail and put it on paper. Murchadh: Oh, no doubt about it. ^^ As soon as he's done (and if I can get a picture before my art teacher hordes him away for weeks to grade it), I'll put it up. Though, if you truly are interested in seeing some Cillian-related art, I've already got two digital art pieces done of him as both Jonathan Crane and his alter ego, Scarecrow. Scarecrow I'm still liking (that lighter and mask were pure HELL to do), but Crane . . . Eh. I shouldn't be allowed to draw suits. I'm simply horrible at them. i13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Latikono/ScarecrowLightenUp.jpgi13.photobucket.com/albums/a274/Latikono/JonathanCrane.jpg

Latikono, you have a cute drawing style if I may say so!
I'm trying to make Cillian drawings wich are suposed to look realistic, my latest attempt was bad so I went practising and when I have the time I'm sort of making a new Cillian picture thingy.

Oh, thank you very much. ^^ This big project I'm doing for art will be my third shot at realistic drawing, my first time ever with Cillian, and in color pencil no less. (Color pencil is really hard for me when I compare it to regular pencil, especially doing skin tones.) But I think that if I practice and work hard (I'll put all my effort into Cillian!), I'll get good at it - My last two realistic drawings weren't all that bad . . .
