I'm allergic to spoilers, for every single new Cillian movie that came out since I'm fan of him got spoiled by things I read in the web... that's so annoying! I actually managed to avoid spoilers about In Time while browsing the web, but it got spoiled by Cillian in an interview. Just in case someone still hasn't seen it, I'll hide it: * He said Leon doesn't actually kill anyone in the movie... So when Leon chased Will and Sylvia with a gun in his hand, those scenes weren't very thrilling to watch. * I never read scripts and if I read things about films from the web I stop reading if it seems to be spoilerish. Edit: I don't know what I did wrong or how to fix it(yes, I tried... Yes, I'm sad...), but that quote is from ZombieKitten's post... I'm really pathetic with everything related to computers.

@ Alisa: Yeah, I share your fear about reading spoilers while browsing... But it's hard to avoid them. But I'd like to clarify that Hyacinth Girl didn't actually write a spoiler, as she explains it later ! It was just my paranoid self that interpreted her post as a spoiler.... SO SORRY ABOUT THAT ... I'm pretty hypersensitive regarding spoilers...

But I'd like to clarify that Hyacinth Girl didn't actually write a spoiler, as she explains it later ! I'd also like to clarify that her post was not deleted by any member of the staff here; Hyacinth did so on her own, without anyone requesting her to do so. We would never delete a post for something like that! Spoilers can indeed be frustrating for those of us who are struggling to avoid them, but there is nothing against the rules about posting them. We simply ask people to please think of others when posting messages about films yet to be released; it's just a matter of courtesy.

I never really pictured his character having glasses, but he looks cute in them.

Oh I always pictured him in glasses because I get a picture in my own head whether or not a person is physically described. He's handsome, fanciable enough for kids and I imagined he'd have a kind of £14.99 Tesco Own Brand chic to him. Is that spoiling? Says nothing about the character, just how I imagined him in my own head.
Checked shirt + big glasses + THAT haircut = hopeless nerdy teacher, at least in looks. Handsome, but nerdy. I think he'll be perfect as this character. I won't spoil (I deleted post because Zombie perceived it to be spoiling and, just in case anyone else did, I thought I would delete it) but his character is very very suited to him in a lot of ways.

I'm reading the novel right now. And I like it a lot. He's going to be a riot as the cute professor, LOL spot on By the way, ha anyone noticed TimRoth is playing a character named Archie Cunningham? Anyone noticed it's exactly the same character name he had in his Oscar nominated turn in Rob Roy? Hahahahah quite different character, am I the only psycho who noticed it? Probably....

I've just finished reading the novel. No spoilers, but let me say I haven't been moved like this since I read The Lovely Bones. With all due difference, it's a very different novel. Obviously, Broken is more like a homage to To Kill a Mockingbird, which I loved. But it did remind me of The Lovely Bones too. Okay, from the articles about the movie it was not very clear, but reading the novel it's very easy to understand Cillian is definitely playing the very cute professor, it's one of the main characters. He is the epitome of loveliness and a very complex character. I perfectly understand why he accepted it, the novel is a must read, powerful reading, hope the script is on par. Tim Roth has a very interesting character too, this can be a true showcase of talent, I cannot wait to watch it!

Cillian yesterday (paraphrasing) "I have another film called Broken which is due out some time this year. I think."
It might get an Earlier than 2014 Release then.

Since the movie is clearly done filming, the post production cannot possibly be that long, there is no SFX I presume, or very little. Hence the movie will come out in 2012, if there aren't any problems. I cannot see the time!

It often does depend on the production/distribution company. This is a low budget BBC film. Sometimes they have very limited release and/or particular release timescales. Not even sure how much distribution this is going to have but hopefully they've pulled back from the estimated release date.

Yes, true, bur 2014 is two years away! I'd say end of 2012 if they have problems. And it's a bittersweet tale that pulls some very familiar themes like family, friendship, love, so I think it may be distributed more smoothly than other darker, more difficult movies. Keeping my fingers crossed!
