I watched this movie Requiem for a Dream last night for the first time (which I really loved, btw), and I fell in love with the musical score. So at approximately 1 am when the movie ended, I sat down at my computer on a quest to find the theme in the form of a ringtone for my phone. An hour and a half later, I concluded that there is no real-tone version available for purchase, just a crappy polyphonic version that totally ruins the integrity of the song because it doesn't even sound like the violin. So then it occurred to me that maybe there's a program out there where you can make ringtones, and there is. I found this program right here: www.xingtone.com/purchase/try.php?mobile_nr=&email=&email2=If you want to use it to make more than one ringtone, you have to purchase it (which I'm considering since it's just $19.95), but you can make one ringtone and send it to your phone for free. They don't ask for any kind of credit card info or anything, so it's not like they can stick hidden charges on you. So, I, um... we'll just say "obtained," the theme music for Requiem for a Dream, but you can use any music you have on CD or on your computer. Then I opened up the free trial, opened up the song I wanted, cut the piece I wanted for my phone, and clicked the "send" button. A few seconds later I got a text message linking me to where I could download the ringtone. So if there's a song you have that you've really wanted to make into a ringtone, this is a good way to do it.

I think you might have to have internet access from your phone for it to work, btw, because you have to connect to the internet to download the ringtone from your phone.
It just occurred to me that the 28 Days Later music would've also made a really cool ringtone. Now I may have to buy it! LOL.

I can make my own ringtones on my phone! There's an option where I can record it! I just put my computer volume VERY high, hold my cell to the speaker, and boom, my own ringtone of anything I want. I have so many now! I recorded of course, "He's here...who?...the bat-man" along with other Crane lines. lol

I used to have a phone where you could punch in monophonic ringtones just using the number keys. I am really good at it. My friends would say, "I want my phone to have this song on it." And I'd say, "I don't know that song. Hum it to me." And they would, and in like 5 or 10 minutes, I'd give them the phone back with the song on it. They'd always be amazed and practically bow down before me like I had done some really difficult. It is super easy, though. It was a great party trick, lol.
