Hey guys- tapping this out quickly to explain my absence - and if there are typos, please blame the drugs. Coming to you from myhospital room this very moment because I am having surgery tomorrow. Apparenntly it'snot possible to pass a 5mm kidney stone on your own, so they're going in after it. Yew! Not dropping by to bring everyone down with icky medical news, just wanted to explain why I have been missing and will be again for a few days forward.
Parting words until I come back - WORST. PAIN. EVER.
and:
DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!! (talking to all of you!!) Love you guys- back soon! ~P

Zombie, Emma, Mokey, Razz, Disarm- THANK YOU! Logging on here and finding your well-wishes means so much to me! I'm HOME. Never thought I would appreciate sitting here on my couch as much as I do right now. As one who has spent most of my life ridiculously healthy, I was fairly traumatized by a four-day hospital stay, lol. Not to mention the pain that just wouldn't stop. I've known many mothers who brag of suffering through 24 hours of labor, but I have to say that I believe 10 days of renal colic is the royal flush of the pain card game - it surely trumps anything else a human nervous system can punish you with. But... it's OVER. (FIST PUMP!!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!) I asked the surgeon if I could keep the stone, once he'd retrieved it. You know, so I could gold-plate it, hang it around my neck as hardcore bling. The answer was no, but that he would show it to me after. He kept his word, and I got to see the little bugger when I woke up in recovery. It was in a vial, and I leaned up close to see, since I had neither contacts nor glasses with me, and there it was. It looked like a slightly rotund Cocoa Krispie. Incredible that something so small could cause one's life to come to a shrieking, agonizing halt for nearly two weeks. Crazy. I'M HEALED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, back, and thrilled to be here! (not back to work just yet, shhhhhh....) Again, thank you for all your moral support - it's so wonderful to have you all as extended family. (BUG HUGS!!) And now, back to our regular programming....
